Craft marketing has become big business. Crafters, often concerned mainly with production, need to know where to market their products and how to obtain a fair price that gives them a good return. Crafts Marketplace is an annotated directory of shows, wholesale shops, galleries, and service organizations. Entries give addresses; phone, FAX, and E-mail numbers; description of business; and requirements for acceptance of the craft material to be sold. Ramsey's (The Upstart Guide to Owning and Running a Florist Business, Upstart, 1995) book lays out pricing in dollars and cents for many kinds of handmade items and offers tips for streamlining production time and labor?the major element in craft pricing. He includes an appendix of useful forms for record keeping. Both these books are valuable resources for crafters researching their markets and preparing goods for sale.

The book is helpful for those who are selling crafts for a hobby. For a true professional like myself, a found that it to be less informative than the book "How to Market Your Crafts to Retail Stores" by Dave Malby.
