Needed a corner cabinet for the sunroom to store flower pots, vases and misc items. Had looked for sometime, but never found what I was looking for until this cabinet ~ Available in 3 sizes and 3 colors, I was thrilled with the 36" middle size and the DARK OAK. The item is heavy and as it was delivered when we weren't home, the box was quite beaten up!! SURPRISE ~ The item was wrapped so well, everything is basically fine.

Putting the cabinet together, and I've put MANY things together over the years, the instructions could have been better!!

SUGGESTION!! ~ Don't put the LOCK NUTS in the holes until you have the sides in place..... You can't put the front panels in place without lifting and tilting the back panels... If you have the LOCK NUTS in the holes and they turn, you end up spending time trying to match them up again with the screw heads.

HINGES!! ~ THIS WAS A JOY!! They say NOTHING about them. Suggest you stand the doors on edge and lay the hinge with the INNER recessed area in place with the LARGER recessed area hanging over the FRONT.....

Then when you have both done, screw one hole partially in the cabinet so that it is easy to start, remove screw and holding door at an angle, balancing base on floor of cabinet.... screw in that screw and then the others are easy.

NOTE ~ In my cabinet, the bottom doors only close when you line them up together and shut them at the same time. The top doors, only the right one will close without opening both and closing both at the same time.

This doesn't bother me, but it might not meet your needs.

OVERALL ~ I AM MOST PLEASED!!

We bought this shelving unit and the tv stand. The unit and wood is pretty. My complaint is that the company uses plastic clips for the shelves which break easily. Also the cabinet has metal handles that come off every time you try and open the doors. The wood is such a great quality that it's a major disappointment that little things like clips and handles can mess up an entire unit. We have to use pliers just to open the doors! :( I called home decorators and they gave me the run around and offered no solutions as of yet. I wouldn't buy this unit again.

Surpassed my expectation! Excellent quality, easy to assemble and color is superb! Fits perfectly in the corner!!!
