I ordered this bookcase over a month ago. When it arrived, I unpacked all the millions of parts to find that the Center Stand Panel was broken in half. These things happen, so on November 1 I called to have a replacement part sent and very specifically told them I needed part "B1" the center stand panel that holds everything together. On November 11 I go to open the replacement part box upon which the shipping label says is a "B1 Stand Panel" to find a mere "E1" shelf. A shelf! I've already got 10 of them, and a shelf will not hold the entire large bookcase together. I call to ask if someone in the parts department does drugs. They assure me no, but they won't be able to ship a "B1 Stand Panel" until Monday November 15 because they are doing inventory. Today is FRIDAY, November 19. I get a call telling me that the item is discontinued. Perhaps I can go to Home Depot (an affiliate of Home Decorators) with the broken piece and get someone to cut me an exact match. So there I am walking around Home Depot with a giant broken in half, heavy laminate board. I walk up to the lumber section and they look at me like I'm nuts. They don't even carry that kind of wood in their store. For 19 days I've been living with a million boards sitting in my living room. If they didn't have a replacement board, they could have told me that on Monday, November 1.
