I am a very busy working mom with a small kid and normally don't have time to write reviews for the products I purchased. However, I make exception for this hall tree because it is such a great piece of furniture. This hall tree is a bit more expensive then some other designs but still cheaper then many others. I don't like the design that you have to open the bench to get stuff. It's kind of annoying and hard to organize the content. This one has three drawers and baskets make it easy to get things in and out the storage. Drawers glide very smoothly, yet the quality of baskets is not so wonderful (but it's only minor issue to me).

The hall tree came in two boxes in the same delivery. I felt in love with the quality once the box was opened. The parts were very well protected and in wonderful quality. Just look at the way the product was packaged, you know that manufacture has great pride of their quality. It took me half hour to remove the package and layout the pieces, three hours to put it together all by myself. Every piece of the parts is very well labeled with letters and numbers (including bolts and nuts) and the instructions are very clear and easy to follow. Even though it's a pretty heavy piece of furniture, I managed to completed it without any help. It's a great buy!

Ordered on a Monday, one box arrived the very next day, the second box on Wednesday. Each box weights more than 60 pounds. Just the like the previous reviewer mentioned, I took about 30 minutes to methodically unpack each item. Nothing was damaged in shipping and it was obvious that everything was put in the box with great care.

The instructions say you need two people for assembly but at no point did I feel that it was necessary to have another set of helping hands. At one point, you do need to put one heavy piece on top of another but if you can lift 30 pounds, you'll do just fine. I spent a little bit of time over a few evenings putting the hall tree together. Total time from box to finished was about 4 hours.

One bit of advice, do not overtighten any of the screws or locking bolts or you will damage the screw hole. I learned the hard way from past experiences with asembly furniture that you stop tightening once you have resistance. Using that advice, I found this piece assembled flawlessly with all parts aligned. The finished product looks polished and impressive.
