I think the bookcase is beautiful. Another customer/reviewer said it was orange and yes, I agree it is orange-ish. Luckily it matches other furniture we have. It is not solid wood and does need to be assembled so when empty it is a bit wobbly. I had expected such. One shelf has a small crack in it but will not be seen from inside so did not want to fuss with a return. The item was very well packaged which leads me to believe it was damaged before packaging. Overall I am very pleased with the bookcase, it really is a beauty.
