Good book, but investing in real estate as a tax-shelter is not possible anymore,

Most real estate investing books are written for people who are looking to grow wealth instead of preserve it. This book is targeted for people who are already successful and would like to invest in real estate, but do not have the time to do it themselves. They can participate in real estate limited partnerships.
The author writes that one of the reasons to invest in real estate is to shelter one's income and pay less in taxes. Unfortunately, this is not possible after 1986, since the government put an end to this practice. Readers can still learn from this book, but investing in real estate as tax-shelters is not an option anymore. - Mariusz Skonieczny, author of Why Are We So Clueless about the Stock Market?
