Product Description
Casino Blackjack Pro
Will you hit, stay, or double down?
Casino Blackjack Pro
See your session's breakdown and stats

The casino comes to you with the Casino Blackjack Pro app for Android. Whether you are a casual gambler or hard-core card counter, Casino Blackjack Pro is sure to fit the bill. With four unique game modes, customizable settings, intuitive design, and touch-screen controls, you can get your blackjack fix anytime, anywhere. Are you feeling lucky?

Hit, Stay, Double Down, or Split?

The game follows standard casino rules for blackjack. Pick your bet and once the cards are dealt, you can choose 'Hit' to receive another card, 'Stay' to face the dealer's card, and also 'Double' or 'Split' when available. You can also Surrender your hand at the beginning of the deal if you choose to fold and only lose half of your bet. Are you a risk taker who hits at 17 or will you play it safe and stay?

Four Exciting Game Modes

Casino Blackjack Pro features multiple game modes to keep both novice and expert players engaged. Regular Mode is a standard blackjack simulator that provides a range of great features, such as rule customization, Expected Value (EV) calculation for every play, and a number of card-counting systems.

Cheat Mode stacks the deck in your favor, making it harder to bust. Sim Mode is a practice tool that allows you play out various scenarios you may face in a live game. In X-Ray Mode you have the option of peeking at the dealer's hole card. This makes it a lot easier to pile up those chips!

Card Counting Systems and Custom Settings

For those that want to take down 'The House,' Casino Blackjack Pro offers five card counting systems: Hi-Lo, KO, Omega II, Wizard Ace/Five, and Zen Count. You can also create or input your own card counting system and enter a value for each card in a suit. The app lets you customize a variety of other settings, such as the number of decks used, when to shuffle the cards, whether the dealer hits a 'soft 17,' and if the expected value is shown.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Blackjack Game March 3, 2012

This is not poker, as some of the reviewers have failed to observe, and it is a well-done game, at that.

The permissions are obvious, for the informed: the SD access is so that it can store game save information; the phone state permission is probably so that it can save/pause your game if you get a call while playing (among other benign activities)... it is standard practice for many games. Even if it DID collect your phone number, and the numbers of people that call you, what could it possibly do with the info, since it cannot dial out, nor does it have permission to access the Internet.

No issues while playing. HTC Inspire 4G, non-rooted... for now.

Blackjack is my all time favorite casino Card game & although this is a nice little Blackjack game, if you're looking for a Classic Casino type game, this really is not it.
This game lacks the typical dealers table where you can see & HEAR the cards being shuffled & placed on the table; along with the sounds of chips clinking. Maybe it's just me but, I think these sounds add to the excitement & nostalgic atmosphere of the casinos.

However, this Blackjack game does have some fun options. There are 4 modes of play: X-Ray, Cheat, Sim & Regular. Cheat Mode is where the deck is rigged in your favor. It's harder for you to Bust & it's less likely you'll. pull a low card if you double down even on a 16 or 17!
Also, if top card will make you Bust then, 1 of the next 3 cards will be dealt instead. However, you will STILL bust if ALL cards fail.to create a win.

In X-Ray Mode, you cannot rig the deck but, if you use the option, just click & hold the x-ray glasses & you'll be able to see the dealers hole card! Using both X-ray & Cheat Modes will automatically start new sessions & hands played will not count toward your overall stats. Regular Mode is self explanatory & completely randomized. And, there was no explanation for the SIM Mode for some odd reason.

There are several settings & options to chose from that. are available in the menu such as # of decks, dealers hits on soft 17, shuffle options, card counting system, & etc. I especially liked that you can double any of the face cards.

Overall, this game app has some neat game modes & options for beginners but, it could use some How To Play directions for those who have never played or are beginners.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad. March 3, 2012

I like this game, however it would be nice (not to mention easier to see the cards) if it had a green background instead of white.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well-done serious BlackJack game March 3, 2012
Verified Purchase
While I agree this game would benefit from sound and a little documentation (hence four and not five stars), it's really well done and has features I haven't seen before on a BlackJack game. The most interesting of these is reporting the exact expected dollar value of each action you could take - hit, stand, double-down etc. It also allows you to select the counting system to use and reports the actual and true counts (and if you don't know what a true count is, you're not in the target market for this game). I don't mark it down for not explaining the rules of Blackjack - these are readily available elsewhere, and there are more fun-oriented implementations of the game available for dilettantes. The game could use an explanation of controls - for the guy who couldn't figure out how to change the bet size, you do out by tapping the chips; the big "increase bet" and "decrease bet" buttons don't modify the bet themselves; they just change the effect of tapping the chips. The developer clearly is serious about the game and knows how to design software; this game is a keeper, and I'm looking forward to updates. Some ideas:

* Provide a way to select rules as used in casinos. The reviewer who complained that game allowed such things as drawing more than once after splitting aces had a point.

* Allow selection of one- or two-deck games

* Show the expected dollar value of actions both with and without taking the count into consideration

4.0 out of 5 stars 5 stars for game play -1 for GUI March 3, 2012
Verified Purchase
The game is fun! It's fast and works great. The GUI is very lackluster and could really use some super simple things like a billiards colored background, audio clips of cards being shuffled, and a slightly easier to use betting system.

Nice job on the game play though!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Blackjack App! December 15, 2012
Verified Purchase
This is a great blackjack app for those who like playing blackjack. I could play this for a while and not get bored. Just forget the fact that this is rated 3 of 5 stars, because most of the lower rated reviews complain about stupid stuff like minimal graphics, simplistic layout, and no sound. To me, graphics do not matter, unless if they are so bad that they make the game unplayable. I personally prefer the older games, where the graphics are pretty minimal and a little blocky, over today's newest video games. Graphics should not be the deciding factor for how good a game or app is. While others do not like the simple layout of this app, I would prefer it. A simple layout tells me that the app does not have a steep learning curve, which means that I can download the app, and immediately start playing it without having to read a whole book on how to play it. Last, no sound. I don't get why the app has to have to have sound to be a good app. I'm fine with just having some of my music playing while playing with this app.

I rated this app based on functionality and how fun it is. Therefore, the only problem I have with this app is that you can only compete against the dealer. It could be better if you could compete with more computer players. However, it is not enough to sway me from 5 stars.
