I never wrote any review on any book before. But this time I was determined to write one on this book before anyone waste their money for nothing. I only ordered this e-book just becuase I could not wait for the Biju's ORACKE 9i: Fundamental 1 to arrive to my place. But guess what? The PDF document was not made available to me at least until 10 hours after I paid the price.
The Author(I would rather say assembler) tried to explain the whole concept in mere 53 pages(!) out of which some were further wasted on ackhowledgement and advertisement. Before reading this e-book I read the Instructor Led Training guide from ORACLE on Fundamentals 1. And I notice that this e-book was just a gloom shadow of that guide. Even the diagrams were the same just twisted a little in an attempt to make some distinctions from the guide. I would not pay more than a dollar for this book. The readers will be better of to read the guide (which is available in yahoo gropus for free) or buy a regular book (sorry, I haven't read any yet). 10/2/04 I have read Biju Thomas' book. It is much much better. It clearly explains everything it discusses. |
