4.0 out of 5 stars Departed Band, Great Record, December 26, 2000
By Benjamin Combee (Brooklyn, NY) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
When I first moved to Austin, I got pulled by friends into a TI show, and I immediately fell in love with their folk-roots rock. While this album isn't as good as their later works "Magnetic Home" and "Speed of Sound", its worth a listen. After changing their name to The Instruments (of Texas) after a legal letter from a certain electronics company, the played for another year or so, but the band stopped playing in early 1997, although a few members still play in other groups around town.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great bargain, September 25, 2000
By "jstn990" (Marietta GA USA) - See all my reviews
I bought this cd because i had extra money on my account. I listened to it and liked the background. It was really cool. If you put it on at a party its sure to bring it to life.
