I have used D-Mannos personally for years. My dog was having Urinary Tract System issues. I ordered this product to avoid using my people dose. The problem is the addition of vitamin C to this product. Vitamin C acidifies the urine. If it is too acid it can lead to crystals in the bladder. A BAD thing especially for a male dog. I did not know about the vitamin C in this product when I ordered it. I have not used it, nor opened it.
In the right circumstance it could be good to use. Our Dog's PH indicated not using it. Best talk to your veterinarian before deciding.
D-Mannos in itself is one of the best supplements to prevent urinary tract infections from recurring reducing the need for over use of antibiotics.

My shetland sheepdog has a hooded vulva and during the first 3 1/2 months she lived with me, she had 4 - 5 urinary tract infections. I started her on Cranberry D-Mannose two months ago and she has not had a recurrence since then. I was told that she may need surgery if the UTI's continued and I'm hoping that we can avoid that now!

My dachshund has a back injury where she needs her urine expressed manually, her Vet. said she would be prone to bladder infections for the rest of her life. For the first year she was, then I was told about D-Mannose and how it helps people. I tried this product and for the past 2 years she hasn't had another infection. I highly recommend this product !!!

Supposedly this product walls off E. Coli and allows it to be flushed away with the urine, otherwise there is a mechanism that E. Coli possesses that allows it to adhere inside the bladder. I administered this in conjunction with the antibiotic Baytril to augment the entire treatment.

The product arrived as promised and so far the UTI has been effectively treated.

I bought this as a preventive for my dog,Gracie.I know that as some female dogs get older they will sometimes have problems with urinary tract infections. And it can be very expensive to have to take Gracie to the Vet to get it treated.I am going to buy this again, and will continue to buy it for Gracie.I found it easy to break up and put in her food and did not find it a problem to do it everyday. It is now part of my routine in feeding Gracie.

I have a 16 year old little white Schnauzer who is truly enjoying his senior years but has had a history of bladder crystals. With that being said, my vet keeps an real eye on the PH of his urine. This product helps to maintane a healthy PH balance because I have seen it first hand. I ran out for a few months and when we tested his urine it was very low. I began 1 two times a day and retested his urine a week later with perfect results. I also give Oliver a glucosamine supplement for his arthritis which is not good for dogs with a history of bladder trouble so the D-mannose/Cranberry helps to protect him from this as well. He gobbles it right up every morning!!!!

My dog is having a problem that she pees while she is sound asleep. Hundreds of $$$ at the vet's office revealed nothing. I put her on this product, and it definitely helped!
