5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderfully Fun Little Toy
What a wonderfully fun little toy. We purchased this for our three year old son for Christmas last year & he just loves it. He still plays with it 8 months later, as do his two older brothers (6 & 8) and his two year old sister. They can pull on the feet and head-piece and stomp & growl through the house to their hearts content, the batteries are still running strong...

2.0 out of 5 stars Great Concept- Questionable Quality
My 3 year old twins each received this as a gift for Christmas. One of my twins has mild cerebral palsy and I loved the idea of a toy that encouraged high stepping and stomping as a fun activity, since that is an excersize that is done in his physical therapy. They do love the toy, however the batteries in EACH packaged item were dead in all three pieces (head and each...

What a wonderfully fun little toy. We purchased this for our three year old son for Christmas last year & he just loves it. He still plays with it 8 months later, as do his two older brothers (6 & 8) and his two year old sister. They can pull on the feet and head-piece and stomp & growl through the house to their hearts content, the batteries are still running strong even after all the play that they've seen. I just love Cranium toys, we haven't come across a single one that hasn't seen hours of fun. Go Cranium!!

I got this as part of a halloween costume for my son. He had a great time wearing it. He is 5 and the elastic on the headpeice was a little tight for him. I can sew so I fixed it for him. He plays with it from time to time. But My two year old daughter is the one who really loves to play with it. From my expierience it is better for younger children. It is a great product. Seems like it is well made (I've olny had it for three months so far)and it works well.

My 3 year old twins each received this as a gift for Christmas. One of my twins has mild cerebral palsy and I loved the idea of a toy that encouraged high stepping and stomping as a fun activity, since that is an excersize that is done in his physical therapy. They do love the toy, however the batteries in EACH packaged item were dead in all three pieces (head and each foot), so no roaring and stomping sounds. Each piece takes THREE LR44 batteries, so NINE BATTERIES PER TOY. So I bought 18 LR44 batteries (not cheap) and replaced them. The heads now roar, but the feet do not make stomping noises, which was the primary purpose behind getting the toy. So in sum, great concept and I love the imaginary play aspect, but the quality of the technology is poor in both sets of feet. I am writing a letter to Cranium to try to resolve and keeping my fingers crossed.

My son received this as a Christmas gift a few years ago and it remained his favorite playtime toy for a long time. Eventually it went with a box of toys to my father's house so the grandkids could have stuff to play with when they visit. To this day when he goes over there, it's one of the first toys he picks.

I love toys where the kids have to use their imagination and I have gotten quite a few laughs watching my nieces and son transform into a dinosaur. While normally I dread toys that make noise, the dinosaur sounds that come from the head and feet are not loud enough that they become annoying after hearing it over and over; it's easy to tune out. Every once in a while the child has to stomp a few times in order to get the foot noise to work, but other than that I have no complaints. The toy has been played with, hard, by several children of various ages for a couple of years and it is still in excellent shape.

My son is now 5 and even though the head is getting a little too tight for him, he can still wear it. The feet still fit, too. This is an excellent toy for imaginative boys and girls.
