I myself have not experienced any issues watching either film as numerously complained about all over the web and on most of the other reviews here. Crank 1 takes itself a touch more seriously while 2 just completely blurs the lines between reality and goofiness. I love both films for what they are, adrenaline packed action with an unrealistic story and concept.

The issue most people are referring to is that with older players the crank 2 disc works fine, but with newer ones that do not have a built in hard drive to receive updates the disc will sometimes not work. Or will work in weird ways. It seems this update forces itself to download and then if it isn't able to be received it wonks out the film. Two things to clear this up, first off get your blu-ray player online with the most up to date firmware installed, and secondly if the blu ray player doesn't have a hard drive built in. Such as my own (Samsung BD-c5500). Then just plug a USB stick of 1gb or higher on any of the player's ports and it will download the updates and work fine for any BD-Live enabled film including this one.

I hadn't received any updates at all when putting in this disc, and cannot even find any of the LG-Live/BD-Live content. Where on a disc like the expendables the content is in plain site, either they removed it for future prints, or perhaps I'm just not looking where I am supposed to?

The picture quality and sound is excellent, the movies are lots of fun but very mature in nature and not meant for kids or people who can't handle, nudity, lot's of cursing, and violence.

I give this set an A grade wise. Statham kicks A** in these ;)

You can't beat this price for two blu ray movies. The fact that it is part 1 & part 2 of crank makes it great. Sometimes you get value packs and it's one movie you want and one movie from 1976 only your dad has watched and he didn't much care for it. I'd say buy this, it's worth it. I'm not going to explain the plot for you, but the movies are good. I just wanted to comment that the value you get is worth the cost and the quality of the packaging and the disks are first rate. Nothing cheap about this disk set, simple yes, but well manufactured.

Crank 2 won't play. The picture shows a small square in the center of the screen and the rest of the screen is black. Upgrading the firmware in the blu-ray player did not help any.

Correction it does play . You can see a 2 inch square.. In the center of the screen.. In all it's HD glory. The rest of the screen is completely black except for part of the loading graphic.

It arrived in good condition and we enjoyed Crank until we put in Crank 2 and it seemed to default to play on TV screen within a 2inch by 2inch...after all the reset, checks etc., it still can't play properly. A little disappointed!

If you are too slow in life you can adjust yourself by buying Crank.. Funny, super speed.. A great entertainment.

Crank is just a typical action movie but with unique directing and a great actor, Jason Statham. Crank 2 was not as good because it was played out already and was like a bad attempt at Crank 1. Still, the price is really good for both the movies.

I bought this set. Crank 1 (Disc 1) was good, but Crank 2 (Disc 2). It had the same issue like other reviews (showing 2 inches square box)

I'm just gonna keep this short and simple! These movies are amazing! I'm sure the critics hate them, but whatever, they are both amazing action films!!! the 1st one tries ro take itxelf seriously, an the second one, not so much... either way, you can't beat the price! If you enjoy senseless action, I hightly recommend this product!!!

It is what it is, and what you expect, from a Jason Statham starring action flick. Lots of stunts, lots of jump cuts in the editing, and not an overly intellectual premise... exactly what I wanted in an essentially mindless action flick. Not that I am disparaging the movie in the least, I dug it actually quite a bit. It just isn't hamlet... and if you are looking for a really involved developed story... this isnt it. Straight forward action with a basic premise.
