CrankBrothers Candy SL Dark Blue Pedal is two-sided with four-sided entry. The spindle is made of chrome. If you love the design of the Crank Brothers Egg Beater, but you'd prefer a little more pedal under your foot for stability, the Candy SL has your name all over it. Crank Brothers designed the stainless-steel Candy SL after their congregation asked for a little more beef to deal with hairy clip-in situations and long marathon rides. The Candy SL design lets you pedal briefly without engaging the cleat and provides a broader, more comfortable base underfoot, at the expense of a few grams over the Egg Beater SL. Good choice pedal for dirty, muddy riding. Gives a bigger platform for your foot to rest on. Very easy to clip into and out of. Used mainly on a Cyclocross bike

Installed in a snap. Innovative cleats are designed with flexibility of clipping out at two different degree angle options, just by switching which side you install them on. So as you get better and more comfortable with them, you can switch them over to clip out at the steeper degree angle. The simplicity of this system, combined with the innovative design, the comfort of the small platforms and absence of fidgety adjustments make these a great option for beginners, but they will handle the abuse and pounding of an advanced rider too. I had the whole system, pedals and cleats, installed and was riding on them in 15 to 20 minutes. Mountain bike.

This is an excellent pedal! This is the first clipless pedal I have used so I cannot really compare it to other brands; however, Crank Brothers makes a really good product. I have not had any problems at all with it. They keep my feet in tightly with hardly any slake between the cleat and pedal, also not even mud seems to mess with its ability to clip the cleat in. I ride with other people that do not use the Crank Brothers pedals and they always have issues with their pedals not holding tight enough or not being able to clip in when we are in the mud. It is a great product and you should definitely go with Crank Brothers if you love your bike.
