everything i needed to survive a day on the road fit into my small underseat bag. everything except a pump, which i still had to attach to my frame. no more! now i can fit a pump, a tube, and all my tools into my small underseat bag, thanks to this crank brothers gem. i've tested it for ease of use, and it's simple and it works GREAT, in both high volume and high pressure modes. you're not going to fill up a tire in 30 seconds, but you weren't expecting to, i hope. what you ARE going to do is be freed from the burden of a frame-mounted pump, and have a far more slimmed-down daily load.

This thing works much better than my last emergency pump. I wasn't certain how the adjustable pressure knob would work, but it's actually pretty handy. The ideal procedure is to use high volume mode initially to rapidly fill the empty chamber, and switch to the low volume mode when it becomes too difficult to continue.

If you find yourself having trouble inflating a tire with this pump, make sure that you have the proper pressure selected!

This is a bit larger than absolutely necessary due to the double valve system, but that's nice to have if you've got different valves on different bikes and don't want to buy multiple pumps.

Works as advertised. It will get you through if you only need less than 100 psi. For high pressure tires, it is meant purely for repair on the road (to get you home). It is very hard to push when the pressure gets high, but that is expected. Good pump to keep with you!
