5.0 out of 5 stars ...they work, not too expensive, June 9, 2010

You dont need the shoe shield - just pop them into your mountain bike shoe and go. Why add the weight?

Ive gone through 2 sets of actual eggbeater pedals and still havent needed to replace my cleats. Sure... they're about ready to go, but it goes to show how long they last.

Make sure that you put them on the correct direction (READ THE MANUAL), because it actually makes a slight difference with the release angle of your foot, depending on which way you screw them in. If you arent careful, you might have your left foot popping out at 15 degrees and right foot at 25 - disorienting in a tight situation.

Such an inexpensive way to get the positive engagement back from worn out cleats. Excellent way to improve your ride.
