I purchased the book to learn about fishing for Crappie. I have fished fresh and salt water since a child and never fished deliberatly for Crappie. I decieded that if it was too windy or rough a nice secluded cove and this type of fish would be a good day fishing.

Crappie Tactics is easy to read and is good for any level angler. However, some of the items were dated. I tried to find some of the goods mentioned and they did not exist or were under different names.

Crappie Tactics will get you fishing! It was fun to read and I felt like I was watching one of those fishing shows while I was reading.

Truly an amazing book. Features easy to follow modern and traditional techniques and tactics. Even covers tournament tips. Great guide for equipment selection and usage and perhaps the best element of the book is the analysis of where to find ... under various weather conditions.
