Amazon.com Product Description

Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex, now optimized for the GameCube, delivers the same mix of intuitive gameplay and elaborate adventure that fans have come to expect from the series, and offers many enhancements and all-new environments and missions. Neo Cortex is back, and he means to rid himself of Crash once and for all. To energize his most diabolical creation to date, Cortex channels the power of the Elementals, a group of renegade masks with the destructive power of air, earth, water, and fire. To stop the Elementals and Cortex's new weapon, Crash or Coco (a fully playable character for the first time) face five game hubs, 25 dynamic levels, and five unique bosses, as well as a new character that will rock the Crash world.

3.0 out of 5 stars Another Crash Bandicoot game., December 23, 2002
This review is from: Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex (Video Game)
There's not much to say about this one. Vivendi Universal hasn't strayed too far from the formula which made the Crash series on Playstation such a success.

There are five worlds and each world has five levels. You can eventually open up a sixth bonus world. You bust open crates to collect fruit and try and get to the end of a level. Some of the levels are rather dull and not at all creative.

However, that's not true of all of the levels. Some of them are quite fun. You get to ride on such things as a scooter, snowboard and mine cart just to mention a few. It's this break from the monotony that makes the game a decent platformer.

My recommendation is to check it out if you are a Crash fan or a platform junkie. Otherwise, you might consider passing up on this one because it ultimately doesn't offer enough new elements to make it too interesting.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun for all ages, but a bit too hard for the younger kids, November 10, 2002
By
Walter Reade (Appleton, WI United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex (Video Game)
The game is average in just about all aspects: graphics, gameplay, and storyline. The game doesn't provide anything over the standard Mario-type-smashing-crates-and-collecting-fruit game, but is still fun, nonetheless, and provides a good amount of play time. Many of the levels are too challenging for younger players. There are some levels where the player "dies" by missing a jump, falling into water, and drowning. I thought the image of the character floating face down in the water wasn't appropriate for younger kids. For the most part, though, it will provide entertainment for all ages.

5.0 out of 5 stars yay for cheap games!, December 18, 2004
This review is from: Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex (Video Game)
This is a great cheap game. It's a little easy for the avid gamer but still entertaining and fun.
