Short on theory but long on practicality, the book provides the reader with basic definitions and step-by-step outlines. This book is used as a text for a college course I am taking. It's great--easy to read, informative, covers one end of Library Collection Development to the other. I've enjoyed it so much that I've already read the whole thing--even though I've only been assigned the first two chapters!
