This book is basically amazing! It is written by a man who's gotten a perfect score on the ACT over six times and he takes the test every time it is administered so that he can learn more about it each time. If you are a student who waits until literally the week before to start studying for the ACT, I HIGHLY recommend this book. It provides helpful tips (e.g. the fact that the answer "its'" should never be chosen because it is grammatically impossible) that help you master the ACT! Also, it is spot-on about what you should do to get through the test without running out of time.

I bought at least 4 other test prep books for my daughter. The others are gathering dust, but she is actually using this one. The book is easy to use and not intimidating like some of the other big books. The tips are practical and logical. I don't know how she'll score on the test, but if she raises her score even one point, the book will have been worth it.

My son took a Princeton Review practice ACT and got a 30 - 29, 29, 31, 31. It was a solid score and we hoped for the same on the real thing. He studied a bit but basically counted on reading this book a week before the test. Well, imagine our surprise when he brought up three out of four scores and directly attributed it to the book: 29 to 32, 31 to 34 and 31 to 36!!! We highly recommend this book to all college bound students.

This is a great study book if you are freaking out for the ACT. I really liked the math area because it gives you most of the formulas you will need to get those math problems. The only thing i wish they added in there are harder problems in math. With this book, it would get you about 30-40/60 correct. Some of the math in the actual test has log and equation of a circle and such, which the book does not mention. But it gives plenty of great tips to get through the problems without too much thinking. My worst part is the Reading section. It gives plenty of strategies for approaching the passages that i've never thought of. My practice score on the reading section went from 21 to 24! And still working on it to get it up to 28!. Overall, this book increased my score from 25 to 28. Great little book, but i advise you this as a supplement.

I got this book for my daughter and it is well worth the money! She only had a few days before the ACT to study and it is very easy to read. now we'll see how she does today. It really seemed to help her prepare.

So I just received the book. Even though I'm taking the ACT later this year, I find this book every good.
Its really easy to understand, while pointing out the main key elements to the ACT. I've only read 1/3 and I have a really good understanding and a strategy for the ACT. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is new to ACT or just anyone who wants to get a good understanding and a good score on the ACT.

And I have to say its only 240 pages longs or whatever. When i first got it, i was shocked to see how small it was because I missed the description and thought it was one of those thick review books. But don't be surprised by its size because it contains the KEY facts and details and give you precise advices that can directly help you on your ACT. Good luck to anyone taking it!

This book is a great crash course guide for the ACT. It gives helpful tips and hints without lingering on the actual questions that you will find on the ACT. This is a great companion book to use along side other ACT books. I would definitely recommend this book for those of you that have procrastinated your study until the last minute.

My daughter has used other books and even had an online tutor briefly to try to raise her score. This book is the only one that gave specific techniques for each section on how to approach the exam (such as which questions to attack first) rather just than the generic "watch your time" suggestions. She used this book the week before her exam; she ended up raising her score by 5 points. If time is short before the exam - and even if it's not - I highly rercommend this book.

I purchased this book for my younger brother to assist him in preparing for his upcoming ACTs. It is info packed and informative and a great study tool.

I didn't have to much time to review for this test so I bought this little book to help me . I started to read it only 3 days before the actual test, although it's my second test already, this little guy still helped a lot. I got 29 last time and I think I will get better score this time.
