More About the Author
A bi-product of all that reading was creating her own stories about determined characters who try to make the right decisions the first time during their adventures, stories she could read over and over again.
Diane wrote her first full length novel in 2007, and hopes to have many more stories created in the coming years.

I like terra firma, and plenty of air, normal gravity, stuff like that, and feel antsy when those things are withdrawn, even fictionally.
Let me talk about the parts of the story that I understood. The characters were interesting, with varying motivations and abilities. The interactions between the humans, the AI, and the "locals" who met the ship when it crashed kept me interested. I could see that there were bad people doing things that seemed to hurt others, and that the peaceful locals wanted the heroine to make it stop.
It's a new world, literature-wise, and I think that Crash Landing is a new type of work. I think it is like an episode of a TV series. What this means is that it lacks a definitive ending. That's okay. There are more books in this series, and they're not costly.
If you are a real science fiction fan, and you have the set of stories lined up ready to go, you are probably going to be pretty happy with this. I can see that the rest of the stories are going to be exciting, as we have collected a nice batch of humans and shape-shifting (possibly) locals, plus a couple of AI characters that are fun.
Still, till I can find something like an actual ending for the story, I can't give it all the stars it will probably eventually earn.
