A real let down, missed most of the fun elements of Crash games.,

This review is from: Crash of the Titans (Video Game)
A real letdown in most areas. My whole household was thrilled and counting down to this game. We got it on day one, rather than waiting to hear what others thought. Well, remember the fun boxes and the TNT and the figuring out puzzles? There is very little of that in this game. If you loved the old area where Crash takes over that yellow robot suit, you may like this game. In Crash Titans, you highjack (or jack) other huge robot-like creatures, and smash other similar robot-like creatures. That is about it, total, for the whole game. It should have been called Crash Battle Bots. You highjack a bot, smash and battle other robots.
Remember the fun of finding boxes, figuring out how to cross gates taht open and close, hanging from suspended ceilings and spinning just in time to fend off scorpions, all the lighthearted fun colors and scenery? There is about, being very generous, 5% of that in this game. It's great for the first few minutes, then very dark and just battling. There are a few 'surfing' scenes here and there that are similar to the old games, but this is way more like Spyro even in those areas. My kids played on Normal level. I suggest playing at the most difficult level for SURE if you want to get any fun out of this game. Unless you are totally new to not only Crash Bandicoot but also if you are totally new to games. Then normal is fine. Otherwise, choose the difficult level. My kids got through the entire game in 3 days. That really sums up this game. $50 for a three day game. Usually, we play Crash as a family, each taking a turn for each level. We spend weeks, honestly even months, sharing the game. I did level one, waited for the kids to get bast the dark battle areas, and never played again. That's just all there is. Total bummer. I really want my money back. :( Would be fun to battle other family members or friends in the two player mode though. The two person is a little clumsy, but at least it's more fun that way. Not worth $50. Wait til it comes out at $20. At the most.

I have to admit I wasn't a big video game fan before I tried this game. But my 8 year old son and I have been having a ball with Crash and his friends. The game provides a lot of clean fun and excitement - and is fast paced enough to keep my son's attention! Yet on the easy level, easy enough that he does not get frustrated. A great game to start with - Crash of the Titans has already enthralled the whole family. Too bad you can't play with more than two players...but aside from that, it rocks!

Among so many violent games, this game presents great entertainment for the whole family. It is not so easy to play, for absolutely new gamers, like my wife :-), but it is fun to spend a few hours in front of the game. Some characteristics of the series which I considered a huge problem (like rare saves) have been fixed, the camera works fine, and it presents difficulty without frustration. The graphics are pretty nice too.
I highly recommend it if you want to play a game that has little or no violence, since we don't have Mario on the xbox360, this is the closest it gets.

I bought this game after I saw the great reviews it received online, expecting it to be a fun, not-so-serious game that everyone in the family could play. It turns out it's every bit of that, and more. The game offers great graphics, a straight-forward control over the player, and a very precise story line that takes you through 20 levels. The game begins with an introductory level that tutors you on how to control the player, and what your objectives are in the game. As you progress through the game, each level becomes more difficult than its previous, with greater bosses, and more creatures to take on. One downside of the game is that it does not offer much of what the old Crash games had to offer, such as smashing boxes. Also, the game tends to get a bid redundant, since they expose you to all of the creatures within the first 3 levels of the game. But the game makes up for its flaws by presenting a new style of attack called Hijacking. This is where Crash can "hijack" a creature and use it to his advantage, by having total control over the creature and its special attacks.
Overall, the game is very addictive, and its easy to play nature makes it a fun game for both kids and adults.

Good Fun & Not As Bad As Some Gamers Make It Out 2 Be!
Crash will never be the same since Naughty Dawg producers went off and started creating other games. However, the Crash franchise still lives on and you can expect a new Crash title every holiday season. Though these new release will be nowhere as epic as a new Mario title on Nintendo. Crash of the Titans is a fun & entertaining game. The graphics are nice. Not groundbreaking, but they look great on the Xbox 360. I kinda wish Crash had a voice - instead he just makes idiotic grunts, moans, and other useless noises. The game starts off with the gang just hanging out when all of a sudden his sister gets kidnapped. From than on, all hell breaks loose. The levels are huge, immersive, and simply a lush view for the eyes. The colors in the game are really bright & just POP! The game tries its hand at adding new features in, which i really enjoyed. Crash will probably never be as original as he was during his Naughty Dawg days, but still nevertheless an excellent game that deserves a chance. For Twenty bucks on amazon, i simply can not complain. Pick this up and add it to your library. I know you will enjoy it.

I got this game for our 4 year old, believe it or not. He was actually asking for it ever since he tried the downloadable demo of this game on our Xbox 360.
The game is really fun for kids. My two older kids, age 10, played a lot, and especially fun is Co-Op mode, which is great and not often found (unfortunately) on many games.

I havent played crash bandicoot since the Naughty Dog days, and i loved every mintue of it. so i was deeply sadden to see such a good character fall from grace with all these other adaptations from other companies I kept thinking just let him go out with grace already, then as I was watching my 7 year old nephew play the frist two crash games, I decieded to give Crash of the Titans a try. frist downloaded the demo for the 360 and found myself really enjoying the demo. went out and picked it up and I havent had this much fun with a platforming game in a long time, since the orginal actually.
this game is just a blast to play not only for me but for my nephew as well. loved how they gave coco such an personality i actually liked her alot more in this game than the "Classic Coco" one thing that i had to get used to was no figuerless gloves and crash's speach or lack there of.
