5.0 out of 5 stars Hard-core Christian Music
Falling Up's debut album "Crashings" is hard-core beats and lyrics. They take something that generally is put into worship into beats and intense vocals like no other. They sing about their love and passion for God and how He has gotten them where they are now.

2.0 out of 5 stars Great live show
Frankly, I don't care for Falling Up's music that much. But when I saw them on the Sea of Faces tour, they blew me away with an incredible performance. All six of them have amazing, relentless stage presence that rivets you. Their guitarist Joe has all the thrashing moves of a hardcore guitarist. What's more, they're really cool people to talk to and joke around with. So...

5.0 out of 5 stars Hard-core Christian Music, October 4, 2005
This review is from: Crashings (Audio CD)
Falling Up's debut album "Crashings" is hard-core beats and lyrics. They take something that generally is put into worship into beats and intense vocals like no other. They sing about their love and passion for God and how He has gotten them where they are now.

"Bitter Sweet" definitally captures the listener into with their emotions and lyrics. While all of the songs are filled with memorable lyrics that keep you singing, one that definitally captures the true spirit of a Christian is "Falling In." All these songs relate to me in certain ways. If you want some Christian music that is not slow and dragged out, definitally check out Falling Up's debut album, "Crashings."

now this is an all out christian cd and im not really a christian but... its a great cd. christian rock has some of the best bands out there and this is one of them. features falling in love wich is one of my all time favorit songs.

this cd starts out with the four "radio" songs that are good rock ballads then at the fifth song the cd starts to change into a dark quiet emotional roller coaster and it uses special effects well and also a little rap as well

once again u dont have to be a christian to like this

4.7/5

5.0 out of 5 stars Way up, August 9, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Crashings (Audio CD)
I can honestly say this is one of those times that items recommended to me by amazon. Where actually very much on point. I hadnt heard of Falling Up before then and decided to buy the cd hoping for maybe a few songs that would be good. I played it through the first time and had to play it again. Out of them all only 2 i didnt really care for. Crashings is easily one of the best and smartest cd purchases that i've made this year. I plan on getting Falling Up's follow up cd very soon as well. Much love to them whether is gospel or not. I enjoy almost all the cd has to offer and easily gets 5 stars from me...
Much love to Falling Up and their fans as well. :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Never heard music like this before!, May 20, 2004
By
EtErNaL "eternalf8" (Albuquerque, NM United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Crashings (Audio CD)
I bought this CD with expectations that it would be a good CD. Ok, so after listening to the first uh... 12 songs, the CD blew me away. Every song on there is unique in their own ways. The vocals are amazing, and the quality sound of the guitar/vocals will blow you away like it did me. Many of the songs even have catchy electronic rifts to them. Never have I heard such a different (in an AWESOME way) sound in the Christian music industry. You like hard rock/hip hop stuff? This CD is for you. You like catchy lyrics that have Christ-like meanings in them? This CD is for you. You like awesome vocals that can hit high notes if necessary, and rap at the same time? This CD is for you.
Bittersweet and Jacksonfive are the two best songs on there I think. Those songs are very professionally put together. They sound amazing. Jacksonfive features the lead vocalist from Kutless and Demon Hunter, and features Paul Wright as well. Bittersweet is a head-banging flat out rock song that has a very catchy chorus. Jacksonfive is hard stuff too, but it gets your dance moves on as well. Awesome hiphop/reggae/metal stuff in that song. Like I said, each song on there is unique and will be stuck in your head for days if not weeks, trust me. I couldn't get this CD out of my CD player for about 2 weeks. This is my first review, and I have about 80 Christian CD's, so you can tell that this CD has impacted me. I don't know if it beats Thousand Foot Krutch's "Phenomenon," however. It's certainly close! We'll see who pulls off in the end. I don't TFK will ever let me down though.
If you like mainsteam stuff, then you most likely, hopefully, undoubtedly, know Linkin Park. Very similar to Falling Up. I recommend Falling Up's CD (as well as TFK's "Phenomenon" CD) times infinity! For people who mainly listen to Christian music, Falling Up closely resembles a mixture of Thousand Foot Krutch, Anberlin, Kutless, and Furthermore. Just my opinion. Someone said something about resemblence to Switchfoot. Sorry, but I seriously can't see that...
Anyway, I'm done. Buy this CD now!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Companion to Kutless, February 26, 2004
By
Zach the Man (Orlando, Florida) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Crashings (Audio CD)
This Cd is by far one of the best to hit the Christian music stores since Thousand Foot Krutch's 'Phenomenon' back in November 2003. Combining the same type of sound as Kutless and TFK this band hits above the mark in freshman realeses in the Rock category. All 12 songs demand off-the-wall head-banging sounds. This album was way ahead of my original expectations. Please check this album out, even if they are Christian there certainly GOOD Christian music. For fans of: Kutless, Thousand Foot Krutch, Lucerin Blue, and the like.

5.0 out of 5 stars My New Favorite Band, October 4, 2004
This review is from: Crashings (Audio CD)
First and foremost I have been a Christian for a great many years, however many many years ago I found a great void in the musical choices available to Christians. Having said that, a friend of mine recently suggested that I put down the Incubus and Linkin park, and pump some good lyrics into my head. That was all of about a month ago. Since then I cannot put this CD Down, I have spun it so many times I'm luck it's not an album because it would be worn out.

There is something for everybody in this music -- for those that prefer the chorus/flanger/reverb effects of incubus will find plent of these sort of things mixed in the music in just the right places. Linkin park fans should feel right at home with the perfect mix of light rap/"crying out" lyrics.

Each song has a story behind them -- I just went to see them Live and the Lead singer gave a story about the song "Arafax Deep" and how it relates to a friend of the band.

If you only have $15 and you are teetering between this CD and another, give these guys a whirl, you won't be dissappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Who has the guts???, July 1, 2004

Nate (Chico, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Crashings (Audio CD)
It's so easy to create music everyone else is making. Songs about who's killing who, and how drunk I got last week, seem to be the main topic of typical rock. These guys had different plans. They chose the path of hardwork, devotion, and to write music that's inspiring to kids in a way most artists dont try. When you listen to this cd, you'll agree with me in saysing this; They prove that christian music can easily be as great sounding as any secular mainstream rock on the radio today.
