5.0 out of 5 stars The People Under the Stairs is reason enough to buy this set!!
The People Under the Stairs is one of my all time favorite creepy movies! So this was kind of like buying one good movie and getting 2 free! I have not watched the other 2 yet, but I look forward to it!

2.0 out of 5 stars good stories, poor executions
The IDEAS, the ones you don't SEE AND HEAR, but the ones that you hear ABOUT, with or without help from the movie itself, are pretty darn good, especially THE PEOPLE UNDER THE STAIRS. PUTS could've been a massive-scale horror film, but based on the flabby visuals and camera work etc. of PUTS and many other Wes Craven films, it becomes painfully clear that his stature in...

For those fright film devotees who must be continually scared, there's The Wes Craven Horror Collection. The box set contains The People Under the Stairs (1991), in which you will go inside the most terrifying house on the street and visit the homicidal inhabitants and their gruesome secrets that live and die deep within the house; Shocker, the 1989 touching tale of a serial killer who survives the electric chair . . . well, we cannot go any further and spoil the scares. The set also contains The Serpent (1988), in which a man is put under in a deep trance by a voodoo magician; he's alive but unable to speak or move, and spends much of the movie watching his own burial and funeral. You've been warned.

PUTS could've been a massive-scale horror film, but based on the flabby visuals and camera work etc. of PUTS and many other Wes Craven films, it becomes painfully clear that his stature in the horror community comes merely from his imagination, not his ability to make quality movies...I mean, A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET, the original, didn't even look that good. It's as if Wes Craven were TRYING to imitate the cheesey music videos of the era, with the cheap looking fog and shadows and the cheap neon glows in the background that didn't add anything to the visual pleasure of the movie.
