5.0 out of 5 stars Metallica of days gone by ... hallelujah!, April 20, 2002

Good lord, how could anyone NOT like this music? I've not felt this ALIVE since Master of Puppets. Right away when the first song opens (Stomp ... aptly named!) you are sucked into a heavy bass beat and killer guitar ... it may seem an odd description, but it's breathtaking ... literally! They are raw and angry and rip every single sense to the surface into awakening electricity ... wow! This is way too good for mainstream, which is the only reason I can come up with for how many used versions of this CD are available online. The accousting beginning to Alone lulls the weak into a false sense of security in believing the band may have sold out to a ballad, but just wait ... ain't no ballad on this album! In Lie, sinister overtones and deep gutteral voices again remind of Metallica (if you can't hear an influence of Enter Sandman, you're deaf!), but with a new, raw, electric quality. Even though I'm not so hot into the softer beginnings/overtones like in Alone and What Do You Want, this is the best new metal-ish album since Disturbed. It's been a long time since I bought an album for one song (Sky ... heard it on the radio), and ended up enjoying the entire thing. If you like bands like Danzig, Metallica, Disturbed ... bands that dig deep with those low gutteral voices ... you'll love (dig it? Not "like," but love) this album. I'm now buying multiple copies for friends.

This CD is AWESOME!! This band is great!! I saw craving theo live a few months ago and was amazed at their killer sound!! I ran right out and bought their CD. All the songs on it are awesome but seeing them live is an expirience not to be missed. These guys are gonna go far! If I ever play music professionally someday this is how I want it to sound!

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't miss this fabulous NW band!!, April 22, 2001
This review is from: Craving Theo (Audio CD)
All Hail the emergence of hot, up and coming NW band!! Although under publicized, these boys have got it going on with their rich, heavy sound. Musically they blend like one body, their hard hitting tunes scream out of your stereo with the perfection of the anger laden "Type O Negative". My new favorite....with a little help from the public (as in buying thier CD)these boys are going to make it big!

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best releases in a while, February 24, 2002

This is one of only a few releases in the last few years that really impressed me. In the age of boy bands and Korn-kernel flavored Limp Bisquick, this is an honest and straight forward album. These guys play solid hard rock with tons of melody and some pretty good guitar playing on top of that. Every track here is good, which is rare these days. It is a shocker that this album has not received more attention than it has. These guys are better than anything out there now. I highly recommend buying this. You will not be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Upward Spiral, December 11, 2001

These guys rock! Calvin (lead vocal & Guitar) is a great guy and fun to chill with. He's fan oriented, and he puts on one hell of a show. If you don't have their album your missing out. They are coming up fast so if you don't like their sound, get used to it. And all this in a neat package from the great NW! Look for their MTV Music Video coming out in January, its the song Stomp. It Stars Calvin breaking up with this hot chick it'll be great!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars yo KUFO, September 9, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Craving Theo (Audio CD)
Rock101 KUFO is my favorite radio station and they keep talking about this band playing at that rockfest thing that happened around july, so i decided to try these craving theo guys out. they've got great riffs and rythym but the vocals aren't all that good.on the the upside, they're from portland, OR, which is where i live and almost no bands emerge from Oregon. these guys are pretty good, but i think it would be a better investment to wait to hear 'em on KUFO.

5.0 out of 5 stars I Love This Sound Man !, August 14, 2001

I created the stickman with wings for Craving Theo. I went to a practice and listened to the music. I hated what was on the radio at that time, so I was not expecting much...BUT, they sounded great. I was actually artistically inspired. This band has worked hard and now has an incredible sound. Hi Mom

5.0 out of 5 stars Oregonians Unite!!, January 24, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Craving Theo (Audio CD)
Hey. I wrote a review of this album before they were officially signed to a record lable. I am a huge supporter of rock101KUFO, and it's great that a portland band is finally being recognized as a cool band from the portland on the WEST coast. We oregonians are totally underrated, in my opinion, so go out and show us some support!
