I have a Werner 28 foot 1A Fiberglass Ladder, I use it on a two story town house here in Maine. I have never had a problem ,with this product. It never has ever twisted on me.It has always given me afilling of bening stable. I give it 4 stars only,because I've not tried any other product in this catergory, (don't see no need too).

I have two extension ladders, and I attached this stabilizer without a problem to my first ladder. However, the second ladder has thicker steps and rails which made installation very difficult -- I had to bend a few of the U bolts. Once installed, the stabilizer pretty much works as expected.

I ordered one, parts missing, returned. Ordered a second, parts missing again, container opened, returned again. I really want one of these and will have to purchase it locally. Amazon was great about returning the items but I do not wish to order a third one with parts missing.

I'm very satisfied with this purchase. It is exactly as advertised for a good price. I'm now able to access my roof without damaging my gutters.

I would recommend this product.

Good stability, but the bumpers on the ends are slick plastic. Wanted to get "mitts" like you can for the end of the ladder, so it won't slip or mar the painted surface. Crawford says they make these, but its hard to find them.

Says it works just like it should and he doesn't know why he waited so long to get one. He's a professional painter BTW. One thing that could be improved would be for the ubolts to be stainless steel. When spraying a house down bleach you'll of course get bleach on everything and you know what bleach does to regular steel, but then again it stays on his 40' ladder permanently so I it hasn't mattered that the bolts are rusted on.

Easy to install. Bought it because my shingles overhang my fascia too far and the ladder was damaging them. Problem solved and safer too.

Just got mine in so I have only been able to give it a test run, but it appears to do the job. If you decide to use it to clean gutters you attach the stabilizer normally as you would for a vertical wall, then move the bottom (base) of the ladder out from the wall to form the angle.

This is a great invention and every high ladder should use it. Gives great stability to an extension ladder! It can save your life. Easy to take off and use on other ladders.

This ladder stablizer secures a ladder well next to the eave without damaging the edge of the eave or roof. Great tool and will use for all jobs.
