It weighs the same as the Crawford, same height, same extention reach (sans one-half inch on each end). It even has the same clamp handle.

I've taught woodworking classes in a shop with a plethora of different outfeed support tables that ran the gamut from cheap and crummy to excellent and strong. The prices on those items also ran the full range from affordable to very expensive. The price on this item would definitely fall into the very affordable category but the performance falls into the excellent range. This support is one solid piece; no assembly required! The construction is solid. This support stands strong. The roller turns without issue, smooth and easy. The handle to change the height adjusts easily and locks into place. I was impressed. You could pay a lot more for a lot less. If you want an outfeed support this is a very worthwhile investment. Highly recommended.

I have a hobby woodworking shop and ordered two WM-5 Roller Stands and was surprised at the quality for the price. A very solid well built stand that will fill every expectation for the average woodworking shop.

5.0 out of 5 stars Heavy duty to the MAX, February 17, 2006
This review is from: Crawford WM5 Contractor-foots Choice Workmover Adjustable 27-1/2-Inch to 43-1/2-Inch Tall Roller Stand (Tools & Home Improvement)
Was very surprised when I removed this roller stand from the box. I've owned a roller stand for years, but the old one isn't built good and heavy duty like this one. Everything from the two inch roller down to the four rubber caps on the legs are first class. I can see one more of these showing up in my shop soon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fully Assembled!!!, August 20, 2004
This review is from: Crawford WM5 Contractor-foots Choice Workmover Adjustable 27-1/2-Inch to 43-1/2-Inch Tall Roller Stand (Tools & Home Improvement)
I buy many tools for my home shop, this was just one more; until it arrived. I was amazed at the quality for the price, best of all it was fully assembled! I can't remember the last time I bought something that was fully assembled. If for no other reason, I give this five stars just because I didn't waste my time putting it together. Great value.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great quality for the price, January 23, 2009

Crawford WM-5 Contractor's Choice Workmover Adjustable 27-1/2-Inch to 43-1/2-Inch Tall Roller Stand

This stand arrived fine. It sits solidly without wobbling. Any wobbling would be easy to fix. I had to bend one tab that holds the roller to get it to align better... not a big deal. The roller itself is plenty smooth enough. For the 24.00 shipped price you can't go wrong with this product.

UPDATE ONE YEAR LATER: This product has been used throughout building our home. Been knocked around, and tipped over, and generally mistreated at times with no resultant issues. Good and reliable performer.

4.0 out of 5 stars Hard to adjust., December 4, 2008

This is a strong stand with good roller action and it's well balanced. It is difficult to adjust to a precise height. The bar doesn't fit tightly so while you are trying to set the height, you're dealing with wobble (which affects the height). For the price, though, it's probably the best buy out there.

Easy to position, good quality on all parts, rolls well. Minor nit is that the color is yellow, not red as in the primary picture... but who cares!

That being said, a workstand like this is like an extra set of hands. I use mine for all my shop machines. folds flatter than a pancake. I used a permanent marker to mark the height to set it on each machine. All I have to do is extend or lower it to the appropriate line mark and wha-la. It is also a safety factor when using a table saw.

I was able to use these two stands that I bought from Amazon for the first time over the weekend. As the other reviewers testified, they are a great buy. I was able to easily set them to the correct height for my table saw. The stands solidly supported the 16' 2x8s that I was ripping. I found that they were also very adaptable, providing an extension for my miter saw as well. Bringing the cut mark up to the blade was extra smooth with the support of the rollers. The collapsable metal legs are very solid without any play when they are set up. In short, I'm very happy with them. If I could pick out one weakness at all, it would be the plastic adjustment handle. It seems like good quality resin plastic but I could imagine that if you dropped the stand in the colapsed position and the handle was at a right angle to the metal post, it's possible that it could break, but for the price of these great stands that is nit-picking.
