I have been a fan since the early '90s and I still have the case for this cd. I never thought about downloading it! I forgot how good this album is! even in the shadow of today's "modern" metal music, this album is harder, better played, and fairly well recorded. I LOVE this album!

When metal loses its way.,

I own every Tourniquet album so I can speak as a true fan of the band. This album is a casualty of the 90's rejection of heavy metal in favor of a toned down, back to rock, approach that Metallica led with the release of the so-called "Black album". As a work of art/music the album is good and full of the typical eclectic experimentation Ted Kirkpatrick (the drummer and main creative force behind the band) excels at. The let down lies in the fact that the overall musical approach is rock not thrash metal which is what the band is known for.
Having said that, the album is worth owning for a number of reason, 1)if you're a fan and you want a complete discography of the band. 2)It makes a good listen when you want something different but still akin to metal (which is how I mostly stomach it). 3)Ted's creativity is still very much present throughout the songs. Fortunately for us fans Ted found his way back to metal and the last two albums of the band: Microscopic View of a Telescopic Realm(2000), and Where Moth and Rust Destroy(2003) are true thrash metal - Tourniquet style! So be sure to give those a listen because you won't be disappointed.

I'M A TRUE FAN OF THE BAND. SO I HAD TO GET THIS CD ALSO.THE CD IS GOOD.MY ONLY CONCERN IS THE MUSIC WAS RECORDED WAY TO QUIET.SO ANY FAN WILL HAVE TO PUT THEIR SPEAKERS AT TO FULL VOLUME JUST TO HEAR IT.OTHER THAT THAT, IT'S A GREAT CD
