My 3 year old daughter received this as a gift and, according to her, it was the best present she received. It is as large as they say it is and is relatively easy to pump up with your foot or an air compressor. The water filled base keeps it in place. The chalk and paint wash off very easily, although I do recommend a sponge to more quickly clean it off, but water alone works fine. She loves this gift and really lets her make a mess outdoors with sidewalk chalk and paint, even though we have no driveway or sidewalk. Great present!!!

We bought this for our daughter who loves to draw. It took us 8 minutes to inflate using the foot pump that came with it. We inflated the water support instead of filling it with water because we were using it inside. The white "canvas" attaches to the easel stand by Velcro on the top, bottom and both sides. Ours stayed creased from being folded for about a week and has now started to loose the creases. The inflatable part has three "cup holders" and one long (maybe 14 inches) holder for all your various art supplies. They are all about 3 inches deep and have a hole in the bottom of each for water to drain out when you are washing it, although I suggest drying each holder after each wash because not all the water drains and they start growing mold if left wet. Ours came with a bonus 3-D chalk set and glasses, which was nice but can be purchased separately. All of that said, we are please with the actual product. It seems durable, well made and our daughter, and all her friends, love it. We like it because more than one child can use it at a time; the kids like it because, well, like it says, it's giant!!
So where does the "BAD" come in? The paint that it came with wiped clean with no problems. The chalk, both the set that it came with and the 3-D stained our canvas. I have tried everything from dish soap, straight bleach, even the magic eraser and it still has the faint stains of whatever was drawn. I also have allowed our daughter to use Crayola washable finger paints and those stained as well. It is not extremely noticeable, I pointed it out to a friend and she said she wouldn't have noticed had I not said anything; but ours was certainly not as easy to clean as the other reviewer said hers was. I found that the best way to clean it was to remove it from the stand and lay the canvas flat on a hard surface and scrub scrub scrub. That really is the only negative thing I have to report, so if you can handle faint traces of previous art work then I would recommend this product. If you want your canvas to be clean after each use, I suggest you find something else. As a side note, I would love to hear from anyone else who owns this product and if they experience the same problem; and what, if anything, worked for removing the stains. I've uploaded some pictures to give you a better idea of it's size and what it really looks like, which are both pretty accurate with the claims made on the box.

We put this out by our pool for a while and the kids had some fun with it.
When your in the pool, do you really want to write or doodle? Not so much. I would recommend this. Get a pool toy for in the pool instead! |
