These crayons actually work! (I have tried many that don't!) They are soft and colorful and easy for my 2 and 4 year olds to use. Washes off with a sponge and hot water. They last through about 10 baths or so, they would last longer (and be easier to clean off) if my kids didn't press so hard but they are still young so I am forgiving. These crayons have inspired great imagination, teamwork and art in our bathroom!

My 5 year old loves to draw, so we were so excited to get these bathtub crayons. The first night he used them, he drew on the tiles on the wall around the bathtub. After his bath I went to remove the crayon from the tiles, and it was not easy, it took a lot of elbow grease. Tonight, he drew under the water on the porcelain tub itself, AND IT WILL NOT COME OFF. First I tried spraying Clorox Green Works and rubbing it with a rag. That had no effect, so I tried spraying it with Krud Kutter and scrubbing it with a large scouring tool. IT STILL WON"T COME OFF!!!!! In the morning I'm going to have to contact Crayola and see if they can think of something to get this off our bathtub. But these "bathtub" crayons are going in the trash and I will never buy them again!

These bath crayons are about the best out there and they do wipe off easily. The crayon fills most of the holder, but once you reach the last space on the holder, you are pretty much out of crayon to color with. There is still some in the holder but it doesn't reach past the edge. Also, they do break fairly easily if your child presses hard with the crayon. One tip: Don't leave the crayon sitting in warm/hot tub water because it does soften them considerably. Not only do they break easier if they are soft, way too much crayon comes off during drawing! Overall, they are great for bathtime and my daughter loves them.

I think these were meant to be used on tile tub/showers. My fiberglass walls are now stained. Cannot remove color.

I just deleted my old review of this product, because when I got my new order, I found that Crayola had made the improvements I wanted: The crayons are no longer hard to clean up because they have changed the colors. The dark purple, red and black used to stain the tub and tile grout, especially if left overnight, but now the colors are lighter, (and there's no black or brown) so it's not a problem anymore. The new 9 colors are still bright enough and easy to see in bath drawings, and they draw underwater too. This is the only thing that gets my child to want to take a bath: Highly recommended!

My daughter loved these. She can draw on the wall and wipe it down to start over. I recommended cleaning it regularly and not leaving the artwork up until bath time is over... unless you like to scrub. Otherwise, a great product that inspires creativity.

Too Hard to Clean Up,

My grandson loves these crayons, but I won't buy them again. They are really hard to clean off the tub. I needed to use cleanser to get the crayon off. Get the tub markers instead - they just rinse off when you are done.

To be honest, I got this for myself (I'm 28). I spend a lot of time in the bathtab unwinding, pondering, brainstorming, idling, etc. These crayons come in handy when I'm trying to organize thoughts in my head. I read all of the warnings about the staining, so I tried to use it on my sliding glass shower doors first. The colors didn't show up too well so I went ahead and wrote on my tiles and tub. They drew beautifully and brightly. I noticed that they start running color like crazy when wet so they are probably very fragile and disentegrate easily, so I drew very gently. They wash off instantly, except for the purple which required a bit of scrubbing or else it would leave a ghostly pink stain. I was careful to avoid the grout and rinsed it liberally with water. I am not sure if grout staining will be an issue for kids since I am not going to test my grout for you guys =). They don't write well over wet areas since they instantly melt in water. I kept a clean towel to wipe off my drawings, which was great in sufficiently removing the crayon and drying the walls at the same time. I suggest keeping a small brush, sponge, or towel with your kiddie to help erase their drawings.

Cool idea, I use them to write down ideas that come to me in the shower (Hey don't judge). They cannot be left in the shower, as they begin deteriorating (melting), I guess I like hot showers. Don't leave the crayon on the shower walls for very long (over a day), it takes some scrubbing to get all the color off.

Lots of fun to play with, but not clean up!,

Both of my kids LOVE these (4 yrs and 2 yrs old). They ask to play with them every night! However, with 2 little ones doodling away by the end of bath time my tub is covered and it takes a bit of elbow grease to get it off. I made the mistake of letting red and purple sit over night and I have a slight tint on my tub wall. It's easier to clean if you do it RIGHT away but pull the little out b/c it tints the water. They do wear down fairly quickly. My kids will likely get about 10 uses if we're lucky. Overall, lots of fun!
