Crayons came in with broken tips.
Debbie Latta
Also, very easy to wipe off the walls without having to use mr. clean pad (just a wet paper towel works), which is a blessing!

He loves to put these in his mouth and every once and a while he will use them to doodle with.

I had read somewhere that crayons make good dry-erase markers, and saw these washable crayons. These do indeed work very well on a dry-erase board, but they are incredibly fragile. They break with delicate usage in a business environment. I can't imagine kids using them for any period of time without ending up with small fragments everywhere.

My daughter loves the crayons and they work just fine, however more than half were broken when they arrived (the tips of the crayons just fell out of the crayon paper).

Love that these crayons are washable, especially since I have a 2 year old. didn't like that they broke so easily and I was the one that broke them.

I bought these crayons for my 3-year-old. Never mind the young one breaking all the crayons;
every time one would roll off the table, it would shatter into a minimum of two pieces, usually 3.

I do NOT recommend these crayons for anyone. The "washable" feature is easily "wiped away" by the
fact that they are just about as good as having glass crayons. In the day of magic erasers, I would
suggest to any parent to just invest in good, stable jumbo crayons and a package of those white magic erasers (Scotch, Mr. Clean, etc) and do a little scrubbing should the little ones color in unauthorized places.

Never having seen or used a washable crayon before, maybe my expectations were set too high, but these are rather disconcertingly crumbly, leaving a waxy deposit behind when you draw with them. So far, my 13-month old isn't allowed to use these by himself (he tends to view everything as a snack item), so I draw for him to get him used to the idea of what they're for, and because he gets a charge out of seeing things come out of the end of those colored sticks. As you draw, the crayon comes apart on the page, which makes for an unexpected mess, and also necessitates tapping the edges of the paper every so often, both to get rid of any bits and to avoid smearing them when they're left behind.

Overall, I'd say they're good, but not great, unlike the rest of Crayola's offerings, which I love.

I have found this true with any crayon descried as washable. The problem is little kids put things in their mouth or they slobber or they are just generally slimy. This means when the crayons get wet they almost turn into a paint and you end up with blue and green slobbery kids. So yes it washes off of the table when they draw on it but it also easily dissolves in kids wet hands and mouth, making an even bigger mess.

With that said for older kids, approximately 4 and up, these are great. Although at that point they can be a bit more trusted with the non-washable, normal sized crayons.

I tried these on my son's dry erase board. They actually clean off easier and write better than the crayola dry erase crayons. I love that they are washable and they really do clean off of walls and tables, etc with just water. They are a bit crumbly. I'm going to try them in my kindergarten classroom instead of dry erase markers/crayons and see how well they work. I will update my review once I've tested it out. At $5 a box for 16, I definitely like the price better than dry erase crayons too so I'm hoping they work out.

My 17 month old LOVES to color so I liked the wash-ability of these. So far (fingers crossed) she hasn't colored on anything she shouldn't but she did make a mark on the tummy of her shirt once while demonstrating things I say "No" to, and it came right out without any further treatment. Problem is, these break really easily and when she puts them in her mouth they mark on her tongue. I know they are nontoxic, and I am not worried about her consuming them, but if they transfer that easily I'd hate to see what happens if she spills water on them or something. So, since most of these broke (usually just with her normal coloring, but a few did get stepped on - which no crayon will withstand), and I worry about her choking on the pieces of broken crayon, and I have been throwing them away, I am going to get her a box of regular jumbo or large crayons next time we go out. We also have the Melissa and Doug triangular crayons which are ok but she doesn't like them as much and the colors are not as rich. She gets preoccupied arranging them in the box instead of coloring, or pointing out that they are triangles.

So, overall very fun, but if you have an active toddler really into coloring, go for something sturdier!
