This durable, easy-to-use modeling compound is one of the best products on the market for children. Gone are my days of picking up dried pieces of Play-Doh, as this is not at all like Play-Doh, except for the fact that you can mold it. It's very pliable, lightweight, and dries exactly as you leave it without the cracks that Play-Doh is famous for. You can paint on the dried product, so I suggest the white color to keep your child from mixing them all together. I have to admit, I even made some stuff to put on frames, fridge magnets, etc. It's even fun for adults! I highly recommend this product to any parent!

Good for building and molding almost anything. White is particularly useful because you can paint it after you mold it. All my kids (9 yrs, 7yrs and 4yrs) enjoy it, and my 7 yr old uses it in art class.

The kids all enjoy working with this medium. They like the white the best because they can paint it once it is dry. It is also more economical for us as the colored model magic is a little pricier.

My only complaint is that once it drys it feels a little "foamy", especially in humid weather. We found a similar product by Rose Art called "Super Stuff" and we like it better for the following reasons: 1)once it dries it feels hard while still retaining the light feeling, 2) it is equally versatile and air dries.

For some reason we can no longer find the "Super Stuff", so until we do we are happy enough with the "Model Magic".

I have used Crayola Model Magic with my second grade students and with my 2 year old nephew. I have yet to be disappointed. There are so many things you can do with this product! I especially love the bright neon colors. If you need project ideas, you can check out crayola's website too. I definitely recommend this product to other teachers, mommies, and aunts! :)

This is the best clay / "play dough" ever made. It does not get into carpet or clothes. It does not dry into sand like crumbles. It can be drawn on with markers and / or you can use markers to add and blend color into it with rolling and kneading. It will dry into a permanent "sculpture" that is somewhat durable. But you can also place the product into a zip lock bag and it will stay reasonable fresh. I bring this with me everywhere - out to dinner, family parties, rainy day fun, play dates - to keep my 3 children occupied (age 5, 8, 11) but they have been using it since they where 2.

Forget those expensive (and messy) hand print/paw print kits for your kids or pets, and use Model Magic instead. It is very easy to use and totally non-messy. You can decorate them any way you want and 'write' names and dates on it (I just use the tip of a pen to make 'dot' letters). Lots of Fun! Not sticky or messy! We had fun making babies out of the Model Magic at a baby shower and the game was a hit with everyone.

Bought this for my child's school party to make pens. This product is worth every penny. You don't need much and it dries quickly and is very light! My children love playing with this product--FYI...you can make a TON of items with this 2 lb bucket. I only used 1/4 of the bucket for a class party with 30 children!
