My kids ages 8 and 4 use these markers almost daily-I've had the set for about 2 months now. The markers work great and are still vibrant. I love the storage container which telescopes up when in use. It's a well organized system. I'd definitely buy it again.

These markers are great! The only concern is that they are stored upright and that seems to make them dry out. After repeated use, this seems to rectify itself. The container is great! Easy to carry around and keep all of the markers together!

I bought these markers for my 4-year-old. She loves the smaller size. We also had fun reading the clever color names. My only complaint is that the telescoping function of the holder does not lock sufficiently into place, so she was constantly frustrated by it collapsing anytime she put a marker away or got a new one out. Other than that, a fun, well-used product.

This maker tower has lots of markers, but the case doesn't quite do what it should. Sure it telescopes...if you can get it to stay there, and make sure you VERY carefully take that marker out so the tower doesn't come crashing down once you do get it up. The telescoping feature is frustrating...we just leave it down and lift the lid to get the marker. The markers themselves come in a nice variety of colors but they dry out quickly. For this price, there are better choices. Mr. Sketch markers might be a good brand to start with...the quality is superb.

We liked these little markers and the telescoping storage container is nice, but some of the markers were dried out when we recieved them. The others seemed to dry out pretty quikly as well.

If you are buying this because the markers are cute and assorted (they are!) then by all means, this set is great. If you think the telescoping tower will be awesome, it's not. A piece of garbage that collapsed every time we touched it. It never really "locked" into place correctly. Now it is broken.

Pip-Squeaks are wonderful and my 6 yr old and I both enjoy using them to draw. I often give them as last minute gifts with some drawing pads and other art supplies and the child receiving it always has a great reaction. There was nothing better as a kid than a new set of Crayola's in a ton of colors - I'm now a Mom and still can't resist a big rainbow of colors in a cool carrying case.

PROS:
The markers are short (thus the PipSqueak label) so kids are more likely to hold them properly which is great for handwriting and fine motor skills.
Lots of great colors so kids are less likely to fight over the blue (since there are many).
A nice case that makes it easy to see if any are missing when cleaning up.
The case is also great for storage and carrying from place to place.

CONS:
The "telescoping" feature doesn't really work, it collapses occasionally but it's not necessary to use the product, so no big deal.

**My grade for durability received 4 stars instead of 5 because of the case, not the markers.

Great idea and lots of good colors, but it doesn't lock in place for long and it's hard to get locked in the first place. My five-year-old is constantly asking for help. Version 2.0 is needed!

We have had these markers for over a year and they are still holding up really well, and none of them have dried up. My 3 year old loves to scribble so they get a lot of use. The colors are very vibrant and there is such a nice variety. I agree with the other reviewers that the telescoping function leaves a little to be desired. You have to extend the tower up, and then twist it slightly to get it to "lock" in place. You also have to snap the two parts of the lid together so it stays up. This is the part we have the most trouble with actually. My 3 year old can't telescope the tower or snap the lid by herself. Sometimes we just leave it down and she just flips the lid and grabs the markers she wants. When we first bought it, she needed help recapping the marker tops completely, but she can do it independently now. The markers are short which encourages a good gripping pattern. I would definitely buy these markers again, even with the slightly annoying telescope feature.

We have tons of Crayola products since my daughter loves art, and I firmly believe they are the best quality brand for crayons, markers and the like. Usually. We are disappointed with this product, however. When the telescoping tower is extended, you just barely have to touch it, and it falls down and bangs shut. It does not lock into place like you might expect, and just a tap in the wrong direction makes it close back up. This is very frustrating for my four-year-old, and even being very careful, I myself have the same problem when I try to take markers in and out.

The markers themselves seem fine, and for now we're just using this as a plain old storage box since the "telescoping" feature doesn't work well. Definitely a disappointment since this was supposed to be the point of the product.
