My two-year old "grew" out of the 4-color crayon packs you get in restaurants, so I decided to expand his palette range by getting him this set -- and he LOVES it! Now we can color animals and other things properly instead of having red monkeys, yellow trees and blue grass.

I just wish they'd one day invent a hard, plastic wrapping that goes over the crayons to prevent them breaking so easily when you step on one.

My sister gave these to me as a Christmas gift for 2008. They include 8 colors that had been retired. The smell of the crayons brought back so many memories of coloring and learning to write. It was wonderful to share memories with the family of favorite colors (violet blue, blue violet, periwinkle and aquamarine, to name a few) I suggest this gift for anyone that may be a slight nerd or to anyone that has a fondness for artistic and office supplies... oh yeah, and don't forget the kids!

I got this for myself & I am very pleased with it. I love collecting on these different kinds of crayons just to see how much they have changed since I was borned.
