Most of my daughters toys are played with a few times and then forgotten, minus stuffed animals :D She mostly just 'reads' books and colors during the day when we aren't outside. When I saw the Color Me A Song, I just knew it would be perfect for her, because she LOVES coloring and music. I'm not sure about the other reviewer getting markers in hers, but the Color Me A Song is supposed to come with several triangular shaped crayons, which are great because they don't roll of the table :D They are easy for her and my 3 year old to hold. I also love the tray that you can keep the crayons in when not in use, so when we take it with us, I don't have to bring the crayon box too. To my surprise, my 3 year old, very active son also loves this toy. It has held up well, esp. since they both use it at the same time and will snatch it from each other, hehe. I couldn't have made a better investment, imo.

kept both twins busy and happy for several days but put aside for now as they need supervision with crayons right now and no time. Paper holder is inefficient for younger kids; crayon drawer came out, can't get it back... however they are still intrigued by the music and the way it speeds up with action on the drawing pad, as well as the unusual long-playing music, compared with so many toys with quick takes on tunes. 1 of them is particularly into music and much enjoys this. may be better appreciated when they are a bit older.

This looked great on television and in the video on Crayola's website, but it isn't that great out of the box. Yes it plays music and the speed changes as you color, but the paper doesn't stay in it very well and my son gets very frustrated with it when the paper rips or falls out. Needless to say he has colored all over the board itself. It cleans up easily, but seriously what's the point. It's also difficult to get the drawer in and out and the crayons can get jammed in it if they aren't laid in it flat. Something that can sometimes elude a little person. Ours is currently collecting dust.

I bought this toy for my 3 year old for Christmas. She really likes to color on it and likes the music that it plays. The drawer is easy for her to open and the toy is easy to operate. It also cleans up nicely when she doesn't put paper on it and just draws on the toy! I think she may be a little old for it though - I think it would be a great toy for a 2 year old who is just starting to get the idea of coloring and drawing.

Didn't Entertain My 2 Year Old,

Just didn't entertain my 2.5 year old. Came with 2 'toddler' markers. I think for kids that can actually hold a crayon or marker, these are frustrating. The round marker seemed too big for her hands. And these markers did not fit in the drawer that came w. the board. We also had trouble keeping the paper on the board. Overall, poor design. I do not recommend.

I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews about this product. They almost dissuaded me from buying this for my daughter. My husband had picked it out after seeing a commercial and since I usually do the shopping for the kids I bought it rather than shoot down his choice. I'm glad I purchased it. My daughter has gotten so much enjoyment out of this product. It was really the way she learned to color. The technology on it is really neat. The paper sometimes can slide out a little but it's really not a big deal. When you're coloring normally you don't have anything to hold the paper down so the fact that there's anything to hold it in place is an improvement. You can select which instruments you want to play or have all of them. There are several different styles of songs like jazz. It's educational and fun. I would recommend this product.

The idea of this toy is nice but you are better off buying a plastic clipboard then spending over $[...] on this. The so called music is very tinny and it does not hold the paper in place very well for younger kids. The storage drawer for crayons does not work well unless the crayons are in exactly the right place. I just thought this was a complete waste of money.

I bought this toy for my 2 year old daughter as she loves to color and write with crayons, pens, and markers and loves to dance to music. She does occassionally use the toy as something to write on, but hasn't been at all interested in the music or how it slows and speeds as she colors. It is very sturdy and the little drawers on the side are great for storing crayons - the 5 or so crayons that come with it are large and break easily. The music is not typical kidsy songs and makes it more tolerable for adults. Overall, it's nice to have around, but I wouldn't buy again.

Comes put together which is a plus even batteries were included! The paper is a little tricky to get in but it takes a standard computer paper so it's easy to find additional paper. I believe they made it hard to get in because then the child can't take it out to easily. My child likes the music and grooves while he draws. He loves to color and we use this about twice a week for about 20-30 minutes. He does okay with the triangle crayons it comes with I just perfer him to have the washable crayons. Overall, I believe he won't get bored with this and my child loves music and making works of art so this goes together well. I only wish is they made a blue one or more gender neutral color instead of white and purple.

At first glance, this toy seemed like it would be very fun for my young child. Unfortunately, it was the exact opposite. I found this toy seems to enforce scribbling instead of drawing. In order for the "pad" to work, one must really press firmly and color very quickly. It is not for teaching skills or techniques, just basic scribbling. I was really hoping for better. He likes to hear the music and push the buttons, but for his use, thats not what I bought the toy for.
