They are not that much harder to clean up in comparison with the kind of markers you have to use on black dry erase boards.. they aren't all that much more messier. The neon dry-erase paint markers flake off as well when removing, creating a mess. These flake about the same amount.. Also, the dry-erase paint markers have to be shaken before use every time...these crayons don't need to be shaken. (Duh! I know.. :) )
Another delight is that I have a reason to buy my 29 year-old self crayons now. =)
*The red crayon resembles more of a dark pink color.
They easily erase with a bit of pressure
Erasing glove included
What doesn't erase with the glove comes off easily with water & a bit of pressure
Even after sitting on the board for a few days all the crayon came off without ghosting
May prove difficult for a toddler to erase because some pressure is required
They are crayons & do break, so have to be careful with them
White crayon doesn't show up on a white board & the yellow crayon is very hard to see on a white board
The box says they work on black & white dry erase boards. I've never seen a black dry erase board & the personal size board that Crayola sells is white. Seems to me that's misleading to customers.
These brilliant color dry erase crayons are worth the extra money to avoid ruined clothing and all the color show up great (except those noted above). I gave them only 4 stars because of the two colors that are pretty much useless on the white dry erase board. Crayola should remove those color and put in colors that work on white as that's the standard color and it's what they sell in their starter pack of crayons plus dry erase board.
