5.0 out of 5 stars lots of fun for barbie fans!
this is a very neat toy for kids who enjoy coloring. My child just turned 5 and has a tough time tracing the fashion plates, but loves to pick them out for me to trace. The pictures are quite intricate for tracing. However, it provides endless options for making different faces, shirts and pants. I trace, kids color. The kids love it. I do not think that it is very...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, simple fun
This product produced a few hours of fun for my 7-year-old daughter. She was attracted to the included, tracable clothing patterns. The product uses "D" batteries, which provide a long lasting, strong light. Since this is basically a light table, it works best with thin paper where the image is only on one side. A small pad of tracing paper is included and everything fits...

The pictures are quite intricate for tracing. However, it provides endless options for making different faces, shirts and pants. I trace, kids color. The kids love it. I do not think that it is very portable. All of the pencils and paper have to be removed from the desk to trace. Also, pay attention when ordering. I didn't know that the fashion desk was very "girly". I would buy this toy again

I'm 48 years old and I got this to do my pictures with. Instead of paying so much for an expensive real lite box I got this. It works GREAT! I can lay my picture on my card stock and see perfect where to mark to cut out the hole for my picture on my greeting card. FANTASTIC. Does just what I wanted, The light does not hurt my eyes either.. GREAT for Greeting Card making.JUST LOVE IT!! Got here FAST TOO!!! Going to use it for my lettering too..

My daughters, ages 9, 7 year old twins and 3 1/2 love this toy. They have played with it for hours. The pictures are easy for them to trace and there are several stencils for them to choose from so they didn't get bored. Once they traced the pictures, they colored them and cut them out. Then they played with the cutout dolls. I highly recommend this toy.

My daughter is 6 & she loves this toy. It's not one that gets old after 2 days. There are so many variations to draw from, endless combinations. The older she gets, the more she loves it. Her older friends especially like it. It's good for motor development in trying to do the tracing.

My 9 year old niece recieved this for Christmas from my mother. She could only find one and was not able get one for my 8 year old dauther. My daughter saw it, played with it for hours and loved it. It is a great tool to stimulate their imagination. We looked all over to try and find my daughter one and she was heart broken when we could not. I was lucky enough to find one at Amazon and quickly ordered it. Little girls love to play dress up and this is an awesome way for them to design their own line of clothing, so to speak. I cannot wait to see her face when it comes.

My 5 yr old daughter loves this. I was so excited to see that Crayola.com has one for boys now too. It has cars and vehicles to trace. I plan to get it for my 6 yr old nephew for Christmas.

Our daycare has a toy similar to this one, however it is much more expensive. My daughter absolutely loves her tracing desk, she has already gone thru one set of batteries and a light bulb. She is six years old and the intricate designs really challenge her. I was very pleased with this toy and would not hesitate to buy it again.

My son is an artist already in full bloom. He wanted a light box so bad, he could taste it. Unfortunately, his mother wasn't up to paying art supply-store prices for one. Then I found this Crayola desk. It fit the bill EXACTLY without breaking the bank. Safe to say that the boy is over the moon about it.

The product uses "D" batteries, which provide a long lasting, strong light. Since this is basically a light table, it works best with thin paper where the image is only on one side. A small pad of tracing paper is included and everything fits back into the 12" x 11" x 2.25" container. My only concern is the ability to leave the light on and run the batteries down. I recommend it for any child between ages 6 and 8. It can also come in handy for adults.

Yes, they make a version of this with vehicles to trace and my 6 yr old son loves it! For some reason the vehicle version is harder to find than the girls' fashion version. For any boy that loves to draw cars and trucks, this is great. Also, good for their fine motor skills.
