These crayons do not have the pigment saturation and smoothness of more professional crayons (I usually prefer the Caran d'Ache Neocolor II watersolubles), but they have their uses, and I always find myself upset if I can't find them. Although Cretacolor makes the Aquastic in metallics, these Crayolas have a more glittery than metallic look that can be very appealing for some projects. The glitter is very fine and doesn't look gaudy. They also burnish up to a lovely shine. I get best results when I use them over a base layer of marker or more expensive crayon to intensify the color.

These crayons have more sophisticated colors than regular glitter crayons. They are smooth, easy to color with and leave a noticeable sparkliness.
