This review is from: Crayola 8 ct. Washable Triangular Crayons (1 box) (Toy)
I love these because they don't roll away form my 2.5 year old daughter, and if she strays off the paper it is easily wiped off the table. Also, it really does encourage proper hand positioning. Of course, the only small downside to washable crayons is that if they get wet in any way (even damp fingers) they can be slightly messy...but to me that is no problem.

Great for dry erase board and coloring but breaks easily,

This review is from: Crayola 8 ct. Washable Triangular Crayons (1 box) (Toy)
First things first:
I paid over $8 for these crayons close to Christmas time and when I received them and they were out of their original box and a crayon was missing I was VERY disappointed, thats like $1 per crayon and for one to be missing is upsetting. The box had become open in transit and damaged and had to be resealed and the packaging wasnt adequate. a small piece of brown paper for padding in a large box was all there was. (amazon was notified but nothing done) For the crayon usage: These are "WASHABLE" crayons. I bought them for our dry erase board, because markers are way too messy for a 2.5 year old! They draw very easily on the dry erase board, but are kind of light colored that shows up, but my child doesnt mind. The easist part is I just wipe it off with a diaper wipe (I use Huggies) and there is no scrubbing or anything, just wipe and its gone and NO waxy residue left on the board from the crayon! YAY I also liked that when my child colors on the board, it doesnt transfer onto his clothes like the dry erase markers do. My son hasnt drawn on his clothes -yet- so not sure how well it comes out of clothes or on hands. Seems kind of hard for these to transfer onto the skin though. The triangular shape helps my son learn how to color correctly instead of the whole palm grip. They color very well on coloring book paper, nice and smooth like regular CRAYOLA crayons..they aren't super waxy like roseart or other name brands. They are about 2 times as big as regular crayons. One of the downsides is that my son broke them into 3 pieces very easily...for very expensive crayons I would say they arent very durable. I am going to buy another pack and hopefully receive them in tact, not missing, and watch my son very closely while drawing so that they don't get broken because that is a choking hazard.

Our 2-year old used her washable crayon on her brand new chalk board side of her easel before mommy and daddy could pull down the roll of paper. I was upset becaused I thought she ruined the "toy" when she had only had it for less than a day; however, I used a wet paper towel (no soap) and wiped off the board and the crayon came off very easily. I can't say the same about the color she left on our tile floor, but I haven't yet tried to wipe it off with anything more than water, I am confident the color will come out with a bit of soap. I would certainly recommend the product to others. For some reason she seems to prefer using the crayons after she takes off all of the paper covering the crayons.
