Pull Ties Not Secured--then plastic clouded too much to use
on November 3, 2012
I like the camera cover. It fits nicely over the camera and is easily enough manipulated. Good enough. Unfortunately, the plastic ends on the zipper pulls are too large for the elasticized string used on the product. The two zipper pulls both came off the strings on first use. The rest of them pulled off with only a little effort--after the first two came off, I tested the rest. They all failed. I have old snap-lock style zipper pull tabs that I can replace these with, so no big deal. It's either that or find a way to thicken the strings to make them a tighter fit in the pull tabs. Last thing. I'm not a gorilla. I applied what is normal pressure on the pull tab. Pop, off they came. Hopefully, mine is a unique experience, but probably not....
Update--- About 1.5 years after I bought this, I had to throw it away. I had stored it rolled up (not scrunched) in a pocket in my camera bag. Texas gets hot, and I suppose in-the-car (though not in-direct-sun) heat was too much for the plastic window, which clouded up so badly it could not be seen through. As it turned out, I only used it twice. I do like the design, and before the plastic clouded it worked well, but now it's landfill. My regrets to anyone who bought one based on my review. Keep it cool, I guess.
