Book Description

Self Hypnosis is a self-induced trance state used to promote good health and well-being. This trance state also occurs when doing anything repetitive or familiar, without paying attention, e.g. daydreaming or shopping.

This card provides an all round introduction to self-hypnosis. With practise you will be able to hypnotise yourself whenever you choose to reduce/manage stress, improve sleep, motivate your subconsciousness, boost confidence, over-come a phobia or just for pleasure.

About the Author

Barbara comes from a nursing background and following a back injury that resulted in major surgery in the mid 1980's had to re-think her life. During her convalescence she studied psychology and counselling but decided to train and specialise in hypnotherapy. After certification she opened her private practice, the Barbara Ford-Hammond Consultancy in 1992 and soon became known to the media. She has been featured in Style Magazine The Times, the Observer, Zest, Health & Fitness and the Telegraph. As well as her clinic she works with clients over the phone or on-site in the work place. Her clientele is international and her skill is in teaching techniques for people to take charge of their own health and well-being in a safe pleasurable way.

There are exponents of hypnosis everywhere: in sport, business and healthcare environments. Barbara firmly believes that the benefits brought about from using hypnosis be promoted and made accessible to all; fluff-free. Self-hypnosis is quite possibly the most easily learnt technique for healing and change that brings about the most successful results in a relatively short time. She lives in the heart of the Hampshire countryside with her family + dog, cats, rabbits, hens, fish and a snake called Dita who is a TV star in her own right. Barbara is an Accredited member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy.
