i used this chair in the north georgia woods for 3 months while i hiked and camped. it is comfortable and easily carried. it isn't a huge chair and it folds in half for many options on your pack. however, i'm a taller guy and i needed a taller back b/c the support poles poked my back. the chair is not water proof, so sitting on wet ground will usually result in a wet [...].

Via Amazon, I ordered the $12.95 chair from Sportsman's Guide--Sage Green and Black. The picture posted on Amazon is not accurate. What I received is a different color scheme, and does not include the velcro straps to hold the chair closed.
Note that what you'll get is Crazy Creek's Causal Line chair, which is a step down from their Adventure Line chair. It has less padding, appears to be less waterproof, and as previously noted, does not have velcro closing straps. (See Crazy Creek's website for clarification on the differences in the two). That said, it is lightweight and seems decently constructed. You should just know that if you're looking for the traditional original Crazy Creek Chair, this is not it. Amazon needs to be more accurate with its images and descriptions.

Crazy Creek Chair,

This was very light-weight and easy to pack and carry. It may be good for short sits a few hours at a time, but since the padding is quite thin, any long-term sitting may be a pain in the backside. After two hours I wished I'd bought the thicker padding.
Nice pockets for carrying drinks and stuff. Strong straps to keep seat upright on backless benches.

...because it's a total joke! I'd rather sit on a boulder or my duffel bag. I'm a fit guy with a 33" waist. The sides of the chair compress my legs together while the bottom front cuts off the blood supply. It's just as uncomfortable as it looks in the pictures folks. People who say this thing is comfortable must be smoking something around the campfire! Don't waste your money! I gave it two stars because the nylon material looks somewhat durable, although I could never imagine anyone wanting to use it long enough to wear it out.

We've only used these chairs once, but I can already see that they're going to save our backs! I'll never sit in the bleachers without one again. Highly recommended to fellow race car fans!

First about the product: I purchased from the seller "The Sportsman's Guide" and received the Crazy Creek Casual Line chair, which is pretty much as described in the produce description, however is made of 600D coated ripstop polyester. I'm still very satisfied with the product especially considering price.
Brought this on a backpacking trip with a few other guys who had brought the REI equivalent of this chair: Travel Chair Slacker. There were pluses and minuses to each. With the Crazy Creek Chair I was able to easily pack it in my bag, it's bendable, and is very light. Sitting down is a little bit tricky at first, I guess I'm not use to sitting down in the position on the ground. Leaning back in the chair and figuring out the right balance feels very natural, I was surprised that a number of different positions felt comfortable. Your legs are able to completely relax using this chair, which is nice after a day of hiking. With the stool you're off the ground, which around a fire is a little bit nicer, and makes it a little bit easier to enjoy the warmth. Much easier to sit down/get up from the stool. For activities like cooking on a camp stove on the ground, the stool is much better. But for relaxing, the stool requires you to use your legs for support and balance, so you never get that opportunity to kick back and relax. Truly on my next trip I think I'll bring both a stool and the Crazy Creek, which I think is a pretty good testament to the Crazy Creek, it's definitely worth it's weight.

Convenient, useful and fairly comfy,

I've taken the Crazy Creek Chair camping and to the beach, and both times it was very convenient to pack and carry along. Its my first time using one of these no-leg chairs, but it is quite comfortable. It doesn't hold itself open, so it was a little awkward to hold a plate of food and drink, squat down, open the chair and sit in it without it moving around, situate myself and then eat.
But overall, something I plan on being a regular addition to my camping gear and beach bag.

I bought two of these to use as bleacher chairs at sports games. They're easily adjustable so you don't crush the knees of the person behind you as you lean back, and they're very easy to transport. My only complaint is there's not quite enough butt cushioning, but I'm still very pleased with the purchase. In fact, they've gone far beyond bleacher chairs--I take them to the park, to BBQs, and anywhere extra seating with back support is needed.

I got this crazy creek chair for my summer camp and I really enjoyed sitting in it. It is great if you don't want to sit on the wet or dirty ground. The chair is very comfortable and I was very satisfied with my purchase.
