About the Author

Loren W. Christensen's experience in law enforcement began in 1967 when he served in the army as a military policeman in the United States and in Vietnam. He joined the Portland Oregon Police Bureau in 1972 and retired 25 years later in 1997. During those years, he worked the street gang unit, dignitary protection, defensive tactics and officer survival instructor, and street patrol. No matter what job Loren worked on the police bureau over the years, he always found himself in, what he refers to in the Introduction, "the street dance between hookers, tricks and cops."

Loren has been writing on a variety of subjects over the years. Hookers, Tricks and Cops is his twenty-first book. He has written many articles for an eclectic selection of magazines and has edited a monthly law enforcement newspaper since 1993.

Although Amazon no longer carries this product, the information is still available on Loren's web site at www.lwcbooks.com/crooks.html. The stories are quite funny and definitely worth a look.
