Hurriganes, Great Finish rock group, January 5, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Crazy Days (Audio CD)
"Crazy Days" is one of the best albums that Hurriganes has made. The best album, RoadRunner(1974), was awarded i the 70's. (Not to be found in amazon.com)
Don't listen to the text because there english is quite bad but it sounds "right" and the guitar is there. Sometimes I wonder if they ever were/are aware about the text they wore/write or they just tought that it sounded allright, or maby the singer didn't know english. (Hurricanes is another 50's group not to be misstaken with Hurriganes or is it the spelling?)
I belive that only the lead singer and drummer, Remu Altonen, is alive.
Later albums never got the same edge as the 3-4 first....
I allways test the quality of a Internet record shop by looking up Hurriganes. So amazon.com is quite good.
Never the less, bye "Crazy Days" or "Roadrunner". If you like them follow up with "Hot Wheels"A Study of Albert Järvinen's Playing Style on Get On by Hurriganes". This song is on "Roadrunner (1974))".
Forgive me for any misspelling. /Per Tomas
