Beyonce Breaks Out, August 22, 2003
This review is from: Crazy in Love (Audio CD)
I think this CD is awesome and really shows Beyonce's potential as an artist. The single, Crazy in Love, is incredible and Beyonce has one of the most incredible voices in the business. She has been training since she was a child, and it's apparent that all her hard work really paid off. I would recommend this CD to anyone who enjoys good music. I think the world can expect a lot more from Beyonce in the future. She is definately a survivor so people need to stop hating.

Halfway There, February 6, 2004
This review is from: Crazy in Love (Audio CD)
Beyonce', marketed and produced to appear to be the new Janet Jackson, is a better singer than JJ by about a million miles. It is her marketing and production team that is crippling Beyonce's artistic arc. The marching-band-on-crack horns on "Crazy In Love" are fantastic, but the decision to drop in the now-obligitory ABAB rhyming of Jay-Z brings the record to a stumbling end. Even worse are the mumbled ramblings of P. Diddy (or P-Daddy or Puff Daddy or whatever silly name The Most Overrated Man In Show Business is going by these days) on "Summertime." It could have been a nice record, but the King of Self Promotion killed it. Beyonce' needs to set aside the pseudo-Janet Jackson pretentions and kick the washed up rappers off of her records before I'll be able to take her seriously. If she must ape another musician, Diana Ross would make more sense. Beyonce' may have the pipes to pull it off.

A Huge Single, July 30, 2006
This review is from: Crazy in Love (Audio CD)
Hi,
I listen to all kinds of music like Rhythm'n'Blues, Pop, Jazz, and Classical Music. Today I saw the very last Top of the Pops on BBC television wich included a clip of Beyoncé performing Crazy In Love. That lady's performance was so self assured and the band sounded so strong. I knew the single ofcourse, but what I heard and saw today really astonished me.
If I already loved the fine fast sections of the beautiful single 'You've made me so very happy' from the band 'Blood, Sweat and Tears' way back in time when I was just a ten year old kid, this groovy rhythm in 'Crazy In Love' shows us all the more that we need this fine groovy thing and the message of love linked to it.
Crazy In Love is definitely one of the finest singles ever created. It ranks in the top, believe me.
Yours,
Gert
