Gripping and lyrical
I live in Tokyo and I found this novel's description of the city extremely evocative. There are some extraordinarily lyrical passages, but this is no pompous snoozefest. It is a really compelling thriller. I zipped through it in about a week.

Hard Boiled Trash
Disgusting, perverted scenes are rendered by author in this trashy book. It was a waste of $0.99 and has cured me of buying before previewing. Trust me when I say that 5 star ratings must be bogus.

I read this book a few years ago and loved it, and just re-read it on my Kindle. If you like fast paced adventure with some very lovable characters, you will enjoy this book. The author clearly knows Tokyo from the seedy parts to the more upper-crust society, and this makes the book feel very authentic. I hope he thinks about making a sequel as I love the characters and think there is more to the story if it is allowed to play out a little further.

A fun read with well-developed characters, especially the evil ones. For anyone who has experienced living in Tokyo, the book really brings out the annoying, frustrating, fascinating and excellent things about the city.
