A Mile A Minute Read!,
By
This review is from: Crazy Wild (Mass Market Paperback)
Creed Rivera has gone to a dark place after watching his best friend and partner tortured to death in a Columbian jungle. Reluctantly he returns to Colorado and is put on a detail to apprehend and protect a wanted arms dealer. Well, Cody Stark is a mousy, brown, librarian and resembles in no way shape or form the sex kitten Dominika Starkova. But when the bad guys show up in Denver and they're all gunning for Cody he will do what he has to in order to keep her safe. She has become collateral in this war and Creed can't ignore the fact he wants her safe or the fact that the rescuer has now become the rescuee. He wants a future with Cody but will he get it?
Cody is running for her life. She should have listened to her mother and not gone looking for her dad. Now, she's running for her life with a laundry list of terrorist out for her blood and one handsome jungle boy keeping her safe. Or is he? Surely it can't be good that she melts each time they touch and that his kisses make her forget her life's in danger. But, Cody will do what she must in order to keep Creed alive...even if it means surrender. Ms. Janzen writes great action adventure romance reads. Her alpha hero's finally meet their match in the most unconventional ways. Although this is book three in a series I found it to be a strong stand alone read. Ms. Janzen has begun to build the background for Dylan and Skeeter's story in this one and all I can say is I look forward to that one! This is a mile a minute read you won't want to miss.

The third installment of the Crazy Series Crazy Love.Creed Rivera is a broken soul and you can't help but fall in love with his character. He is wild, passionate and captivating.Cody Stark is his savior although it took way to long for these two to finally come together. There is alot of non-stop action in this story and she keeps us updated on previous characters which I love. This book is a good read and I can't wait to continue on to Kid's story.

Action-oriented romance,

This review is from: Crazy Wild (Mass Market Paperback)
Creed Rivera has been assigned to track down and apprehend Dominicka Starkova, who is rumored to be brokering a deal with terrorists to sell a nuclear warhead. He finds her in a Denver library and as soon as he arrives, all hell breaks loose.
Cody Stark, aka Domincka Starkova, is trying desperately to hide from the bad guys after her. She's being pursued by terrorists who want the location of the nuclear warhead. Tired, worn, and stressed, all hell breaks loose in the library she's working at. She's rescued by Special Forces agent Creed Rivera. They're attracted to each other, but neither of them want to trust the other. This was my first exposure to this series, but it's the third book in Janzen's "Crazy" series. I enjoyed it and loved the action/adventure theme, though I felt that it overpowered the romance quite a bit. The first 2/3rds of the book was almost complete action, with the h/h running from the terrorists, then the heroine trying to escape the hero, getting caught, escaping, getting caught... You get the picture. I felt Janzen handled very well the Creed and Cody's various traumas from their past. They're both strong and tough characters, but not completely broken. Just wary and cautious. However, Janzen was playing up on Creed's darkness and broodiness (he witnessed his friend and partner tortured and killed in front of him as he was tied and helpless), but this seemed to dissipate halfway through the book, and he became your regular old Special Ops hero. Cody was a great heroine. Strong and resourceful, and extremely intelligent, I admired her and her ability to fend for herself. My favorite parts, though, were the scenes between Baby Bang (Skeeter) and Dylan. I cannot wait for their book. They had such chemistry on the page and were so much fun. I'm definitely going to keep on with this series, and likely get the first two books as well. They're light (to me) reads, but a good page-turner and vacation book.

Fun and crazy romantic suspense,
This review is from: Crazy Wild (Mass Market Paperback)
There's not much romantic suspense that manages to be this much fun, and nobody does it better than Tara Janzen. With her light-hearted touch, she manages to spin a tale of bad guys chasing each other around suburban Colorado, and make it entertaining instead of strange.
Creed Rivera is sent to bring in suspected terrorist Cody Stark, but of course things are not what they seem. What Cody needs is someone on her side who isn't going to jump to conclusions, and Creed turns out to be that man. From the first action-packed sequence to the surprising end, this is another great book from Tara Janzen.

A Wild Ride,

This review is from: Crazy Wild (Mass Market Paperback)
Crazy Wild is another fantastic read by Tara Janzen. This is the third book in her Crazy series and they just keep getting hotter.
Creed Rivera just came off a life altering job in Columbia. He returns home is assigned to bring in Cody Stark. Cody is very dangerous and happens to be in the market to sell a nuclear weapon. The average-looking, quiet, librarian Creed is watching is nothing like the Cody Stark he was given a picture of. He has is doubts but soon enough bullets start flying and her appearances keep changing on him! She definalty keeps him on his toes. Crazy wild is an extremely well-written book with memorable characters. Their is an amusing and funny sub-plot mixed in that I cant wait to see unfold in a future book. Cody and Creed are each emotional characters and you actually begin to feel right along with them. The sex scenes are very sensual and have that sweet/romantic element as well. Creed soon realizes the only danger Cody proposes is to steal his heart! I highly recommend this book.

As a fan of Suzanne Brockmann and JD Robb, Tara Janzen has flown to the top of my Favorite Authors List. All her books have great action and steamy sex! The first thing I do when I get her newest novel is flip to the back to see when the next one is coming out. I am hooked....

LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!!!!,

This review is from: Crazy Wild (Mass Market Paperback)
I have completely fallen in love with all of Tara Janzen's characters. I especially love how she weaves other stories in withthe main character, and gives the other stories their own book. Im especially excited for the next two books with Kid and Nikki and Skeeter and Dylan. I also love how the main characters the women are a little bit punk rock in this story and the two other stories following. All I can say to Ms. Janzen is that she definitely knows how to weave a story, and leave the reader panting for the next one. I love the CRAZY series!

wild romantic suspense,
This review is from: Crazy Wild (Mass Market Paperback)
Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special operations and Low Intensity Conflict the Honorable William J. Davies orders General Buck Grant to shut down the Columbian job immediately. He wants three of the four agents to handle a potential terrorist act in the American Heartland where a Soviet nuclear bomb is headed. He also demands Buck not use that lunatic Creed Rivera, the ghost killer.
However, Hawkins, Hart or Chronopolous are unavailable even if Buck could find any of them; thus he sends Creed without a leash leaving behind his comrade and the two terrorist killers they stalk. Outraged Creed flies to Denver to abduct the most dangerous woman in the world, Cordelia "Cody" Stark, who looks like the poster child for librarians rather than an international nuclear arms broker. However, as Creed stalks her waiting to make his move, three brutes attack her. With her cover broken and unable to shake Creed who saved her life, Cody flees knowing that if caught she will spend time in Leavenworth, but at least the map that everyone wants is stacked away in a terrific hideout in plain sight. The third "Crazy" tale is a wild romantic suspense starring perhaps the craziest of the foursome and the only woman for him, the courageous somewhat kooky Cody. The story line like its predecessors (see CRAZY HOT and CRAZY COOL) is fast-paced from the moment that Creed arrives in Colorado and never slows down until the final altercation in which all hell breaks loose with Cody in the middle. Fans of the miniseries and sub-genre readers will enjoy the tale of the "Blond Bimbo and the Bomb mostly due to the two "bad to the bone" protagonists. Harriet Klausner

Fantastic fun series,

Reviewed for [...].
This is the third instalment of Tara Janzen's humorous and entertaining `James Bond' meets `The Fast and the Furious' romantic suspense series. The books can be read as standalones - more or less - but the series is one big crazy ride and it's best to start at the beginning. The cast of characters are a bunch of former car thieves and street kids who grew up on the wrong side of the tracks in Denver. They received their education stealing, suping up and racing muscle cars, but have been reformed and now work for a secret government agency, saving the world on a daily basis. The premise is crazy, and the timeframes of the books are very short: anything from a few hours to a couple of days. And while the world is being saved of course the hero and heroine manage to form a steamy relationship and find a happy ending. It all sounds ridiculous, which is exactly why it's so much fun. Creed Rivera was a shadowy, messed-up character in the last book, and his story in this one is indeed a bit darker than the two preceding it. Cody is also someone with a lot of demons. Janzen writes appealing characters, and every man she writes is a dream come true. The book is nonstop action from start to finish, and I ended up reading it in one sitting. There's nowhere in the story to put it down and take a break; it's like watching an action film where everything's happening at once. However for most of it the romance is minimal compared to the first two, which was a little surprising. Janzen writes excellent action, and this story will have you hanging from rooftops in the snow and racing around the streets in insanely loud and fast cars. Everyone from Iranian buyers for the Taliban to monstrous German hired thugs is running wild everywhere from Denver's public library to a rave party in a collapsing building. It worked for me. As with her other Crazy series entries, Janzen has a tendency to visit or revisit too many other characters for too much of the book, thus taking the limelight away from the main pair. That said, the focus was much better in this one, with all of the characters contributing to the same plotline. Dylan and Skeeter have their own book later in the series, but their messed-up and confusing relationship was fun to read about here. Luckily I haven't met a Steele Street superhero I haven't liked, so I don't mind too much when we jump around a bit. However I didn't feel I got to know Creed and Cody in their book as well as I knew Quinn and Regan in `Crazy Hot' or Christian and Katya in `Crazy Cool'. The past couples knew each other before the stories began, which made their rushed relationships believable. Janzen had to work harder here to convince me Creed and Cody loved each other. I think she did a respectable job of it, but I still would have liked some more time with them. This series is not perfect, but has a certain appeal I've not come across before in romantic suspense. The books are unashamedly fun, and happy to be as over the top as they want to be. What makes them all really, truly work are the characters. VERDICT: So far I haven't read a Steele Street book I haven't loved, and Crazy Wild is an excellent addition to the series. If you need a rest from your serious reading, there are worse stories to engross yourself in than this one, with a superhero and his smart yet vulnerable charge running from terrorists, their friends and the CIA around the streets of downtown Denver. Tara Janzen always provides a great escape. |
