2.0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointed
I was unable to find this book in any bookstore and so I bought it on ebay. I did that because I love Kate Angell books and was anxious to read this one. I was very disappointed in it. It reminded me of a cross between Titanic and Ghost Ship. I just kept imagining this musty old creepy boat and it didn't put me in the romance mode. The hero had no substance, he was just...

This was an awesome, sexy, funny love story. Actually, its really 3 love stories rolled into one. The story centers around a ghost from a 1925 murder mystery who cannot rest until the truth about what happened to her and her lover onboard a cruise ship are uncovered. The modern day owner, Sexton St Croix (who, unbelievably, is nick named Sex...yeah, I know) hires a gaggle of psychics, one of whom is Bree Emery, to rid the ship of the troublesome ghost. Sex is a very dedicated playboy, who finds that special something in Bree that's been missing all his life. Bree is a very gifted psychic who finds herself caught up in the old mystery that plagues the ship. The third couple is St Croix sister, Cecilia, and his best friend, Jax, who has the most AMAZING sexual encounters (trying to fight an attraction but only causing it to blaze out of control). Theirs is probably the sweetest and steamiest love story I've read. I found myself unable to put this book down. It has tons of humor, hot sex, and a wonderful happy ending for everyone. You wont regret getting this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Sensational ... Kate Angell Shines!, April 3, 2005
This review is from: Crazy for You (Mass Market Paperback)
Already known for her sizzling hot and highly original tales, Angell outdoes
herself with Crazy For You. Pulling in her readers from the very first line,
she weaves a web of brilliantly-spun magic that enchants and captivates. A
romantic adventure at sea, this is the story of Sexton St. Croix, a man who
has everything except the one woman who makes life meaningful and Bree
Emery, an endearing and uniquely talented heroine whose special gift lets
her unlock not only the mysteries of the past but also Sexton's well-guarded
heart. Sexy, hilarious, and deeply touching, in Crazy For You, Angell
skillfully tells not one but three beautiful romances, each one
intrinsically interwoven with the others to create an incredibly satisfying
reading experience. Filled with love, passion, dark secrets and the charm of
the paranormal, this winner is fast-paced and brims with walk-off-the-page
characters so real you'll feel you know them and so much lush and authentic
tropical atmosphere you'll be persuaded to call a travel agent and book a
cruise on Sexton's Majestic. You may also want to join me in encouraging the
author to start up a sideline designing men's boxer shorts, an endeavor that
would surely bring her a mint. But above all, it is Daisy, the 1920's
flapper, who will steal your heart and have you rooting for her - even long
after you've read the last line.
As someone who rarely has time to read for pleasure, I must say that Crazy
For You consumed me. Made me laugh out loud and cry. This is definitely one
to put at the top of your must-read list! Go Daisy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Romance with a paranormal mystery twist, April 14, 2006

Bree is a clairsentient, able to capture memories by toughing other people or objects. Sexton St Croix (nickname "Sex" for good reason...) is a luxory ocean liner owner desperate to get rid of the ghost, Daisy, who is haunting his ship. But the only way Daisy will leave is if Bree solves her murder. The mystery wasn't terribly difficult to figure out, but it was wonderful reading how Bree uses her visions of the past to come closer to both Sexton...and the murderer...... This was also a rather unusual romance in that there was an equally strong secondary story line occuring with Sexton's sister and her bodyguard. It was just as intertaining as the sparks flying between Bree and Sexton. I'll think you'll find this a fun read. I look forward to reading other books by this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars flapper Daisy stole my heart, May 18, 2005
This review is from: Crazy for You (Mass Market Paperback)
My cousin sent me a copy of this book and said I would love it. Have to admit she was right. What a super feel good book. I loved the breezy storyline, of a flapper ghost who would not move on because she's wrongly accused. The romance between Bree and Sexton was super, but nearly eclipse by his sister's super sexy sizzling secondary tale. Angell could have made a book out of Jax and Cecelia alone!!

I am off to buy the first two Angell book and cannot to get them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding!, November 22, 2004
This review is from: Crazy for You (Mass Market Paperback)
Back in 1925 Randolph St. Croix, owner of the luxury liner "SS Magestic", jilted his fiancé for a poor flapper named Daisy Alton. History claimed Daisy killed Randolph, within her cabin, before committing suicide. The family heirloom, a six carat fire opal encircled by diamonds, that Randolph had recently presented to Daisy was never found. Nor was the gun Daisy supposedly used for her ghastly crime. Since that cruise, no one would book passage due to Daisy's ghost. The ship was put into dry dock ... for eighty years.

Sexton St. Croix was putting the ship back out to sea. However, Daisy kept scaring off the guests and the crew. In an attempt to rid his haunted liner of Daisy, Sexton has billed a cruise as a five day psychic cruise. The only reputable clairsentient aboard is Bree Emery. Sexton settles Bree into Daisy's cabin, 7001, on the seventh floor. (It is the only part of the ship that no one could seem to renovate.)

Sexton despises Daisy for killing his great-great uncle and refuses to believe the ghost is innocent. But Bree knows upon contact that Daisy did NOT kill Randolph. In order to set Daisy free, Bree must figure out who killed the star-crossed couple and then prove it. Hard to do when Bree gets visions from touching, because every time Sexton barely even touches her Bree is set aflame.

***** Author Kate Angell has created a romantic comedy with paranormal activity to liven up the scenes in this outstanding novel. Daisy is a ghost that you cannot help but love! There is a great sub plot romance with Sexton's sister and his bodyguard as well. Then there are all the other "psychics" on board to stir up some trouble. This gem is not to be missed! Outstanding! *****

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome, enjoyable read!, January 7, 2006
This review is from: Crazy for You (Mass Market Paperback)
This was a delightfully romantic story with a cute paranormal twist set aboard a brilliantly described luxury ship and in vivid exotic Caribbean ports. It took a very special woman to tame a man like Sexton. Bree, such a well-drawn insightful character, was definitely up to the task! But first she had to solve the 80-year old murder and clear Daisy's name and release Daisy's spirit from the ship. I was spellbound!

5.0 out of 5 stars Three great romances in one outstanding high seas adventure, July 14, 2006
This review is from: Crazy for You (Mass Market Paperback)
Kate Angell has quickly become one of my "old" favorites, with her mesmerizing romance Crazy For You. Expecting the love affair between Sexton St. Croix and Bree Emery, I was taken on a slow and sultry cruise through the oftentimes rough waters of their passion, attraction and a past that consummated their present with a wave of lies and love denied--but that is just one of the three powerful romances on board this ship. Clever boxers, a great body, heart and soul bared naked for the world to see is what "Sex" has to offer the only women to hold his interest outside a bedroom. Bree, a clairsentient, has her own hands and heart full when she discovers that Sex's experience with women would qualify him as a sensual psychic, although he doesn't believe a word she tells him about his resident ghost, Miss Daisy Alton.

Sex and Bree's shipboard romance is no fling on the high seas and they quickly find out how murder, power and wealth can hinder a heart's desire when the Majestic's sordid past starts to unravel in front of them and the other passengers. Miss Daisy has finally found a friend among the living, but will Bree be able to stay alive long enough to clear the flapper-ghost's name? Sex's hatred of the ghost stands between him and Bree like a line drawn in the sand, but will he accept the truth that could negate all that he has been raised to believe? Daisy might be dead, but she's still quite lively and has plenty of spunk and sass left to help inspire a few others enjoy what she was denied so many years ago.

Refreshing, powerful and filled with a wonderful sense of "who done it," Angell's Crazy For You has made me crazy for more of her stories. Beautifully told, delightfully scripted and creatively woven in such a way as to remind us that great romance is a thing we should all seek to find, enjoy and celebrate...even if you're dead.

5.0 out of 5 stars crazy romantic romp, March 30, 2005
This review is from: Crazy for You (Mass Market Paperback)
In 1925 on the luxurious SS Majestic that he owns, Randolph St. Croix breaks off his engagement to Eloise Hogue to propose to flapper Daisy Alton. She accepts his family heirloom, a six carat fire opal in the center of diamonds, as an engagement gift. Not long afterward, Daisy allegedly killed Randolph and committed suicide. No gun was found and the SS Majestic went into mothballs as no one wanted to ride a vessel allegedly haunted by the killer ghost.

The great nephew of Randolph, Sexton St. Croix, takes the SS Majestic out to sea on a five day psychic cruise that he figures will end the nonsense. He brings with him one supposedly reputable ESP whiz, Bree Emery, who resides in Daisy's cabin, unchanged since 1925. Though attracted to the skeptical Randolph especially after viewing his homage to the Big Mac, following contact with Daisy, Bree believes the ill fated dancer and her beloved were murdered by a third party. To free the ghost, she must solve the homicides while other psychics dance the high wire of shams. Randolph scoffs at her firmly convinced Daisy murdered his relative.

No one does crazy romantic romps that have readers laughing one moment and feeling the passion the next than Kate Angell does. Her latest tale is a fabulous paranormal romance with a wonderful historical who-done-it. The story line is hilarious and ardent from the Big Mac to the ghostly high wire as a cruse ship has not ever been quite as majestic as this one. Fans will treasure the modern day romance between the clairvoyant and the skeptic, and the love story that transcends time.

5.0 out of 5 stars You'll be Crazy for this BOOK!, March 30, 2006

(VINE VOICE)    (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Crazy for You (Mass Market Paperback)
Because it's a total delight from the very first pages - CRAZY FOR YOU is a book most readers are going to be `crazy' about!

Bree Emery is a "clairsentience" hired by Sexton `Sex' St. Croix to rid his luxury liner of a ghost that is haunting his ship and driving the passengers off his boat. Setting up a five day cruise, Sex opened up his ship to a menagerie of psychic wannabes and phony hustlers. The one true psychic is Bree, whose very touch can sense a maelstrom of vibrations and the vibes she gets from `Sex' is all about sex and his most recent lovers! One cheating boyfriend later, Bree wasn't about to get involved with a man whose very touch could give her an orgasm - no way would she become another notch on this playboy's bedpost.

Bree was all business and her business was getting to know Daisy, the irrepressible 1920's flapper that supposedly killed Randolph St. Croix and then herself in a fit of passion. The unsolved murder was still a mystery eighty years later and Bree was determined to prove Daisy's innocence. Delving into the events, Bree would uncover an age-old tender and consuming love that never had a chance to flourish. As Bree uncovered the truths of that long ago love, she was also unlocking some truths of her own and discovering more about Sex, the man with the scorching touch, that was behind the Playboy headlines.

*** This was one sexy and highly original entertaining joy of a read I really enjoyed! Sexton was a real player who generally had to beat his woman off and initially couldn't get over the shock that Bree really didn't want anything to do with him - just complete the job she was hired for, and `definitely' not be touched by him! Along with Daisy, the unflappable flapper ghost, there is a sizzling love affair going on between Sex's bodyguard Jackson and sister Cecilia. With the snappy dialog, steamy sex and a plethora of dynamic characters, this is a fast paced book you'll find very hard book to put down. Terrific book I highly recommend.

My sister, my father and I all read this book and thought it was great. This book tells a story of a flapper ghost stuck on an old cruise line because she's wrongly accused of her lover's murder. This story has mystery, physics, a ghost, romance and hot sex. I am off to find more of her books.
