3.0 out of 5 stars Some good...some bad July 1, 2011

The chargers in this packet are great. It's nice to have an extra wall charger and it's really great to be able to charge up while riding down the road in my vehicle. I was extremely disappointed with the earphones. They're really cheap and hurt my ears. They do have a pretty good sound though, if I could stand to wear them for more than 5 minutes. Overall, for the price this was an OK purchase.

2.0 out of 5 stars Collection of Inexpensive Generic Items September 12, 2011
Verified Purchase
Enthusiasm for a new 3G Kindle inspired me to order this little kit, which no new Kindle owner really needs. A wall socket adaptor comes with the Kindle; the Kindle has built-in speakers for audio; and standard earplugs used with radios, MP3 players, etc. will work with the Kindle. Screen protector film isn't really needed if the Kindle has a cover.

As the price would suggest, this is a collection of generic items: two adaptors that allow you to plug your Kindle into a car or wall socket (using your Kindle-to-USB cable), inexpensive earplugs, and a slime green wristband advertising the seller (CrazyOnDigital). Only the screen protector film, which says "for Amazon Kindle" on the package, is theoretically designed specifically for use with a Kindle.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good little kit... January 11, 2011
I am new to Kindle so it was nice to see a reasonable price for some extras. The only issue I have with this kit is the screen protector. This one was a difficult one to apply without bubbles. The second pull off arrow sticker was really stuck to the screen guard and it took two of us to hold the screen protctor and pull the encasement off. Alas, I cannot work out the last of the bubbles with the provided micro shammy cloth. I have tried the credit card method but that did not work either. Not that I really mind the bubbles, yet, so at least for now I'll keep trying to work them out. I sure was not willing to pay the $24.99 for the Kindle screen protector I saw at my local Target.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Value Overall July 22, 2011

This set is a good value for the money. I discovered, though, that I didn't like the little protective screen because my kindle is already "matted" enough so that there isn't a glare; and since I have it in a case, I don't really have to worry about the screen being scratched. The protective screen seemed to make the pages a little dark, too. I'm still trying to work out what the "band" is for. If it's a wristband, then it's not for me. I'm 53 yrs. old! A little childish for someone of my age, I think. The earphones malfunctioned after only about 3 uses. One of the buds loses its sound altogether after a while, and you have to shake it about to get the sound back; the volume on it is extremely low as well, even when you turn the kindle up to it's max; the earphones have no volume control, and for the price one wouldn't expect it to. But they also don't fit my ears well and are always falling out unless I stay still. The chargers are terrific, so far. I have no complaints about either of them, and I like that they both have a USB port so that the cord that comes in the kit (though not pictured, I think) is interchangeable. I think I'll buy a second chord though since I don't think it's very practical trying to use the one chord both in the car and in the house.

Despite the earbuds, the useless band, and the dark protective screen, I still think that for the chargers alone, it was worth the $6 or $7 I paid.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kit for Kindle gen 3 newest January 24, 2011

One of the most complete kits on the market for the Kindle. I would advise anyone looking for a kit that has all the cords you will need for charging and data transfer.

3.0 out of 5 stars Packaging not sufficient to protect product August 15, 2011
By J. york

The products were received in a plastic bag that appeared to have had something dropped on it or someone had stepped on it. The Car adapter was crushed, the AC adapter prongs were bent and loose.
I called and these items were replaced. What I didn't notice until I attempted to use it, was the screen protector. "Dimples" that I could not remove were embedded into the protector by the broken and scattered pieces of the Car adapter. This item, as I stated, was not detected until I attempted to use it, therefore I didn't report the damage to the protector. I have made purchases from Amazon in the past and all orders have been received in a timely manner without damage, due to the fact all of my previous orders were packaged properly for the contents of the order.

4.0 out of 5 stars A useful collection of stuff for the price... February 20, 2011

Perfect extra accessories for traveling! You do need to either use the USB cord that came with the Kindle 3 or purchase an extra one. For $2.99 each, I got 2 of these (one for the car, one for travel):Oriongadgets Sync & Charge USB Cable for Amazon Kindle 2 and 3 (White) There is a better screen protectorGrantwood Technology's 2-Pack Premium Anti-Glare Screen Protector for NEW Kindle 3 and Kindle 2, (6" Display) and the earphones are very basic, but for the price, this was exactly what I wanted. I'm not sure what to do with the plastic bracelet, however. :-)

4.0 out of 5 stars Moderate at best December 16, 2011
Verified Purchase
I have yet to use the ear phones or car charger but everything else is moderate. The screen protector is my least favorite. It was troublesome to put on, the bubbles are still there which is annoying and it doesn't "fit" the screen perfectly as you can see where it stops before reaching the edge of the screen. It also affects reading somewhat as it makes everything darker, and I would rather not strain my eyes unnecessarily. The wall charger works, I would have been astounded if it didn't and as for the band ...just consider it a side gift if you will. If it weren't for the reduced price at which I bought it I would be extremely upset as I intend to throw away the screen saver and it hasn't even been on my kindle an hour as yet.

UPDATE:

Since my rant about the screen protector, my feelings have changed...the annoying bubbles are gone I installed the screen protector in Dec 2011, overtime I am assuming that the case in which I keep my kindle just gradually pressed out the bubbles until the screen is basically clear except for some imperfections around the edges. I have gotten accustomed so when reading I don't even see the screen protector anymore. The headphones were a big let down, I used them TWICE then the wires got a shortage and wouldn't work anymore. Still haven't used the car charger as basically I don't need it the kindle battery has never "run-out" on me, battery life is absolutely great. I have increased my rating from 3 to 4 as once I gave the screensaver a chance I was satisfied for the money spent. The headphones annoyed me but I mostly bought the item for the screen protector and charger so that is minor in comparison. My BB headphones work great on my kindle.
