Upon receiving my Galaxy S III, two things struck me immediately: it's ridiculously thin and light, and that plastic back won't make it a week in my pocket without getting scratched like a record at a rave. This case takes care of both.

It's a two-piece case: a rubberized shell that completely covers the back and edges, and has a lip that wraps around the front; and a hard plastic piece that snaps over the rubber shell to lock it in place. Once it's on, it's on until you want it off.

It fits like a glove. It is absolutely perfect. The phone fits snugly inside the case, all the cutouts are exactly where they need to be, and there are extenders for the volume and power buttons that actually make them work better. If you've had problems accidentally bumping the power button and locking the screen, or turning the volume down instead of up (or vice versa), this will solve both of those. The power button no longer sticks out further than the edge and requires a little effort to push, and the volume rocker is two separate buttons. Sorcery!

The phone with the case is now about twice as thick as it was, and feels more solid. If one of the selling points of the S III was its thinness and light weight, this might not be for you. It feels like the phone's weight has doubled, which is actually reassuring. I don't feel like I'm going to break it by typing too hard or sticking it in my pocket with too much gusto. The corners get extra rubber, and you'll appreciate that if you spent any time at all watching drop tests starring the S III.

One other plus is it makes your phone somewhat non-skid. See those weird circles on the back that look like an octopus held the phone?... That's holes in the hard plastic cover that let the rubber peek through and help it stick to whatever you're laying it on. It'll still fly off a car dashboard if you put it up there, but if you lay it in your passenger seat and take a turn, it won't go sliding off into that netherworld between your seat and your door where extra socks and Jimmy Hoffa are hiding.

The one shortcoming I have found with this phone is the lack of a kickstand. This phone's screen is big enough that you could watch TV on it, and the addition of a kickstand (or a second plastic back with a leg on it) would have been welcome. The case fits snugly and was easy to put on. The phone is surrounded by plastic with rubber corners. It all feels very secure and safe. The Galaxy S3 is a bit thin and light for my taste, and the case adds some thickness and heft to the phone, which I like.

I only have two small problems with it: 1) The black rubber attracts lint from my pocket, 2) The case's edges are raised up, so it's difficult to wipe particles off of the screen.

This case is great. I returned the first case I bought for my Galaxy s III (it was the cimo matte one) due to horrible precision in the slots and even worse grip (it was literally just a piece of smooth plastic that wrapped the phone). I couldn't even use headphones with that case because the slot didn't line up.

This case has two parts: a rubber inner part and a plastic shell. The plastic shell covers most of the back (the circles you see in the picture are rubber that protrudes from the plastic for grip on the back) and the plastic also covers most of the sides. The plastic skips over the volume/power buttons, which are very easy to find and press with the case on the phone. Although the plastic covers most of the sides, there is still good grip from the rubber on the back and even the plastic itself. The corners are protected just from the rubber part, but it has extra layers at the corners for absorbing the impact from a drop. All 3 buttons on the bottom of the phone are easily accessible too. Offers good grip at all angles, an all around awesome case for this price.

I was going to buy otterbox case but none was available at the time so i went with this case instead. Glad i did!! It fits my phone perfectly, all the buttons fall right into place. This case is a very good. It holds the Samsung Galaxy S III snugly, securely and seems to protect it pretty well. There are shock absorber lumps in the back to provide drop protection. I have dropped the once so far and did not see any external damage to the case or the phone. And at that price, I don't think there is another case out there that is just as good.
