This is a great case for the Nook Color (Tablet should fit as well.)
Gary Grossheim
Second, you slide the Nook into case through an opening in the side and then a flap goes around the Nook.

It protects the nook very well, it looks good and I have not had a problem with this product.

I don't take a lot of time to write reviews, but I do read them. I was so impressed with this nook color case that I just had to pop my head in here and say how happy I am. The nook slides in easy, and slides out easy. I love that it now feels like a book when I open the cover of this thing. The best part about it is that it folds open into a display stand. It's got 3 stand settings, but really only 2 are effective. I like the soft interior and the magnets in the flap keep it shut. I'm not bothering with the screen protector or optional wrist hook. I gave the bracelet to my daughter. This case is the best deal going for quality and price.

I also have an iPad, but picked up the Nook Color to tinker with as I like the size of it better. One of the things I love about my iPad though is its case. I have the canvas CaseCrown version, but it's essentially the same as Apple's first-gen style case. I couldn't find that exact folding style for the Nook Color, so I picked up this as it seemed to be the closest thing.

The quality of the materials are great. However, I was a bit disappointed in the thickness. The Nook's thinner than the iPad, but inside this case it's about triple it's original thickness. If you're using the Nook for it's primary purpose (book reading) that may actually be a nice thing as it makes it a bit easier to hold. But if you're using the Nook as a tablet-light like I am then it takes a bit from the portability aspect.

My biggest disappointment though came from the fact that the back ENTIRELY blocks the Nook's (already weak) speaker. I've got my Nook running full Android and have mine running double the original max volume level. But even then movies/dialog are barely audible. Music's a touch better, but be forewarned if you intend to use this for multimedia. I know it has a nice multimedia-friendly folding capability, but you better be in a very quiet environment (or have headphones on.)

I have a couple of problems with this product. First, the magnetic closure doesn't keep the case closed well at all. When I pick up the Nook using the wrist strap, the case comes open. Second, you slide the Nook into case through an opening in the side and then a flap goes around the Nook. Unfortunately, it doesn't hold the Nook securely and I find myself constantly pushing the Nook back in. It would have made more sense if you slid the Nook in from the top. Good ideas but poorly implemented.

This case has a built-in stand to tilt it at three various angles. I haven't used the screen protector since my son suggested it might be hard to remove later. The magnet is not quite strong enough, but the company replaced the first one they had sent me since it wouldn't hold at all. Overall it's a great product.

i love the style of this case , but am finding that the magnets do not hold the cover closed securely. it easily comes open espescially if you hold it by the strap. also there is only a small folded piece that tucks under the nook to hold it in place inside the cover. my concern is if the magnets let go, the cover opens and then the nook can slide out. also, not that it is a major problem, but this case is too tight to fit a nook with a silicone skin on it. seems ot be made well, and the price is right if it fits your needs, and you are not concenred about the strength of the magnets.

As others have said, one of the nicest thing about this case is that it coverts into a stand. Since I watch Netflix on my Nook a lot, standing it up is a lot better than laying it on my lap. I don't think you will find a better case for the money.

I'm pleased with the product; I'm hoping the material holds up over time, especially from folding the front cover behind the Nook, as is needed for two-thumb typing. It fits the Nook well. Install is easy. Retention of the Nook is not absolute; a tab tucks behind the nook on the "hinge" side of the cover. Theoretically it could slip out, but is unlikely to. The screen protector is a little flimsy-feeling; I got several air bubbles in mine although I think I'm getting pretty good at applying them. The wristband is worthless like a crackerjack prize.

I got my nook color and knew I needed to protect it, so I did an exhaustive search for cases/covers and decided on this one after viewing the specs and reading the reviews. Biggest pluses: lightweight but fully protective, viewstand mode works easily, all ports and buttons accessible while nook is in the case, and full leather enclosure for frame (not elastic bands). Minuses: speaker is covered (but I use headphones most of the time anyway) and because it's nice and lightweight, I don't think it'll last forever. Due to that, I also got a plastic slip on/off skin for around the house, saving the case for farther travel.
PS - I haven't used the screen protector, so I can't rate it.
